I understand the move to get rid of doublelift. It's a bit late and terrible timing but I thought for sure they had thought this through with planned replacement. Turns out the 2am text on a whim was in fact what happened. Hotshot you make me laugh.

The worst part of a long distance relationship when it comes to the part of all-ining is somebody being able and willing to do it. That clearly isn't a problem in Froggen's case.

What if CLG just gambled on getting biggest critlord in the scene for upcoming season?

It's weird, isn't it Turtle that had multiple accounts in challenger around a year ago? Or is that two years ago already?
It's like he can't translate all his talent to the big stage, which he should be comfortable with now. Maybe he just didn't fit with TSM, or the environment just completely jammed him up or something.
I just hope I get to see a good performing Turtle once again because he seems like such a happy puppy. Can't see him being beat down.

Just doing a cursory glance but Keith, Dyrus, Adrian, Altec, Solo, Meteos, Mashme, xpecake, Bilyboss,Fenix, Painless, Inori, Goldenglue, Gate, Zig, RF, Gosu, Akaadian, qtpie all have 2+ accounts in challenger right now. I might be missing some but I can 100% say they all do. Solo queue again really does not mean much, if you can get challenger with 1 account odds are you can do it on multiple.

It's not about finding someone similar in skill level to Doublelift- you're just not going to find that. It's about choosing the best ADC you can get, and out of the pool of ADC free agents in NA, Wildturtle is in fact near the top of the list. Freeze would probably be better, but it's unlikely CLG can afford him.

IMO CLG played protect the ADC comps mostly because Pobelter was best on a Support mage like Lulu. I'm sure I'm not the only one who cringes whenever he plays something like Azir.

If CLG plays protect the ADC comps less often, I figure it'll be more due to having a new midlaner in Huhi than due to having a new ADC replacing Doublelift.
