Do you know how good it feels to stop the enemy team from a perfect by stealing the last ascension?

A man whose entire team is built around the philosophy of getting him to the late game, where he is a closer the likes of which could draw comparisons with Mariano Rivera or Michael Jordan, at their peaks.
It's kinda corny, but thats why I like Thorin so much. Btw I still have to decide who to root for, when all EU teams are out.

False Pretense For example, I walk up to my friend and go "hey, I got candied apples in a 2 pack, but I only want one. Do you want the other?" After he agrees to take the second one he bites into it to find out... his is actually a candied onion.
The streamer being discussed at one point advertised themself as a natural girl, which was not, is not, and will never be the case.

Although I absolutely despise TSM and would be glad to see them fail to win a single game I still think they are slightly favoured over SK. Alliance has a good shot of making it out of their group, they just have to beat C9. As long as Shook doesn't succumb to his big event jitters and plays well I think Alliance should take second place over C9 in their group. Of course nobody with an IQ over 80 thinks that any western team will do better than "make it out of groups" unless by some miracle two western teams meet in the knockouts (unlikely since no western team will place first in their groups). TSM has a trend of terrible performances against international teams? Against Korean teams sure whatever (although that statistic is totally dumb for other reasons), but honestly against other international teams they have a pretty good track record. Also that thing about the IQ; I think people with low IQ would be more likely to say Western teams won't do anything than people who actually use their brains to think about MUs and other variables. People with low IQ just copy whatever the Reddit consensus is, which is ofc that Koreans are worth masturbating over Ok to be fair to TSM they have barely played any international teams, especially in their current iteration, and I did say I slightly favour them to make it out over SK.
But do you honestly think any western team would win a Bo5 series against any of the Chinese or Korean teams though? I mean really? Going by recent IEM and All-Stars results the skill gap looks positively massive and barring stuff like key players not being able to get visas or teams massively under-preparing/performing (like Ozone last year), I don't see western teams making it past the Chinese or Koreans.

I absolutely think some western teams could beat Chinese teams. Barring EDG, I'd say TSM has a good shot, while Alliance, C9, and Fnatic would be favored. SK could do fine as well.
Korean teams; fuck those guys
But you shouldn't lump the Chinese in with the Koreans IMO. They're two totally different beasts.

Thing is Chinese teams are beatable.
Korean teams not so much.

Speaking of Chinese teams, has uzi gotten over his emo situation or is he still refusing to travel?

So, no idea.

Whoo, free win because Uzi can't 1v9!

SHRC and OMG looked really shaky compared to EDG, I honestly think TSM/C9/Alliance/SK would be favored vs. the weaker chinese teams, and EDG would be a close match for those top western teams.

China as a region more or less stagnated over the last year, thanks to a multitude of reasons.

I don't know why everyone's talking smack about the Chinese teams. This includes everyone here, some of the "experts" of the scene, etc.
Remember, a few months back OMG basically swept all other teams except SKT.

From what I've heard from inSec at the True LOL SHow, the Korean players just talk in Korean, while the Chinese players talk by themselves, and any communication interactions between those two groups are minimal and aided mostly by pings. Plus with the self-centric method of playing both inSec and Uzi requires, and the obvious lack of team cohesion and comradery between the players in the team it's a miracle how they even managed to drag the team from a low-tier LPL team into a Chinese regional representative.
Seriously, it's a testament to how severely lacking the overall communication and basic game decision making is in the Chinese region in my opinion. Then again, we have Najin Black Sword (who are just a bunch of glorified solo-que players compared to more cerebral teams like Samsung Galaxy White) who recently defeated Najin White Shield in the NLB, so perhaps the fact that SHRC is a really terrible team isn't enough of a deal breaker, because you need to be good to abuse terrible teams composed of decent individuals, and sometimes if you're both playing like crap, brute force prevails more often than not. And to be honest, there aren't a lot of teams in the world who are capable of consistently abusing an incohesive team. Teams such as TSM, Cloud9, and Alliance have their off-days too, and are capable of playing like headless chickens themselves. It's basically a race between these teams to work their asses off to become somewhat cohesive as a team, because from what I've seen of the play-offs, ALL these teams were terrible. While I believe SHRC were at a higher level than TSM back when the regionals happened, it won't surprise me if TSM managed to take the number one spot in their group.

I'm surprised people here are ranking the Chinese teams so low. From what I've seen (I don't follow the LPL much though) the Chinese teams look like they have much cleaner team fighting than Alliance/C9/TSM and are individually as mechanically skilled or better than their western counterparts. Also, at All-Stars (for whatever that's worth) OMG looked to vastly outclass C9.

OMG smashed Fnatic and C9 pretty hard.
Also it's not like Hai is the Faker of SKTT1 or anything.

On the list of "Things You Don't Want Your Team to Lose" I think that comes in second, only behind "That guy that will 1v9." This tournament was also about 4 months ago.
