Welcome everyone to the totally unbiased ultimate hype thread for the ultimate showmatch! The battle this time will be between the challenger, the violent, antagonistic Master of Chips, also known as Shelkelp, and his cuddly but also potentially ferocious adversary, Frudgey!

+ Show Spoiler [The History] +Shelke, being an angry person, wildly challenges resident Euro Scipaeus to a Starcraft 1v1 match, the loser getting a 30-day ban. Scip, being amiable enough to not want bans on either side, balked on the challenge. Shelke then took his uncontrollable rage into the Off-Topic thread, challenging anyone who dared to step up and 1v1 him bro. Frudgey has stepped up to the plate as the bold challenger daring to fight against the brutal oppression that is Shelke's verbal abuse. The date was set. The time was right.
The Stakes:
- A brutal 30-day Ban delivered personally by MoonBear
- An Arcade MF skin from me (Doesn't matter whether you own the champion)
- A small souvenir from Lesotho, and a formal challenge, both from JonGalt.
- (For Frudgey) his choice of any 40k model painted by Requizen, pictures on OT included.
- (For Shelke) Req will buy only Lay's Chips in solidarity. And also should call up Shelke's boss and tell him how dashing Shelke is
- Whatever else people want to thrown in (RP, Money, Steam games, etc.) Make it hype, people!
The Format:
- A Starcraft 2 Bo7.
- The first map is selected by me, and for the rest of the matches, the loser will select from the map pool
- There is no banning of maps
- Each map may only be played once
- The loser is allowed one Goodbye Post on the thread of his choice before being banned

The Players:
Shelkelp
Hailing from someplace in the pacific northwest region of Canada, Shelke will be playing the icky Zerg race. He is the master of chips, and all-around a very rude person. He is player #1!
Frudgey
Famous for donating $100 to Wave's stream and being an all-around teddy bear, this Canadian will be the respectable, noble Terran as player #2!
Remember, as Frudgey once said,
While it amuses me that you are spreading propaganda on my behalf, we need to remember that Shelke is human too, and certainly not the villain in this case. I came up to Shelke and accepted his ban match, he didn't pressure me to do so at all. I accepted his challenge out of my own free will. If Shelke defeats me and consumes the essence of my soul, then so be it. I have accepted my fate at this point.
Commentary: Wave and Soniv have decided to cast some games. Scip and I are also gonna cast a few. Losleb is looking for a partner, if one more person wants to be his partner and cast some games, PM me!

30 days is so harsh too... I love both chips and fudge... Is there no way it can be reduced to two weeks?
In theory I can stream, but of course it depends on when this is actually happening, as well as how my new setup works.
If I'm not overly exhausted over the next few nights I'll do some tests. Also will depend on whether talking is going to wake up the guy now that the computer is closer to his room.

I think a 30 day ban is much more exciting than a two week ban. With a 30 day ban there is much more on the line so Shelke and I will be trying that much harder to win. And with that, we're going to get matches where the moral boundaries of gameplay will be crossed and we'll see some truly underhanded tactics. This leads to more interesting matches for the spectators.
I understand the sentiment Wave, and I appreciate it (<3) but I think it will be for the better if we do a 30 day ban.

You could always just have the person who streamed the first game host the rest of the streams. That way everyone gets to show off their twitch handles, ppl don't have to bother setting up access to another stream and people don't have to switch between streams.

Old Jeff, wave and I wondering - how often are we going to switch streamers/casters? We're thinking we're gonna use his account as the host account, and then switch to hosting another stream (yours? scips?) when we switch casters

We both have the stream key, right? So we can have one person turn off the stream and the other group turns it back on. Since you have the key multiple people stream on the account right? Should only take 1-2 seconds. Was probably gonna alternate every 2 games or something like that.
Or did I misunderstand the question?

We're thinking of using Wave's as the host account (courtesy of killerdog) so that we don't have to keep ending the stream when we switch. We're gonna experiment with it tonight I think to see how it works.

I have a feeling that everyone is going to miss our games due to nobody being able to decide what time Shelke and I were actually playing.
