Alright, we're going to call it a day with all the Thorin drama, guys. I figured if it was about SI, onGamers, TSM, etc, it had some relevance to League but somehow you guys managed to devolve the discussion into an issue about race of all things.
Enough is enough. Let's move along now.

Poor guy. Tried so hard to get in LCS and got kicked in this fashion.
Now pleasssssseeeee replace westrice. CoL has to be retarded to keep him playing. Look. Cris is available. Even grabbiing him will be a huge upgrade. I wonder if Cris will sit at the tower and cry for ganks like he does in normal games he is like Hashinshin 1.0. Or used to be atleast

I hear a lot about Cris's altitude problems. Probably true. But seriously westrice is:
1. Mechanically, not good at all; he loses lane by himself. Every. Single. Time. 2. He plays on tilt when he is behind.
Cris will be a HUGE upgrade over Westrice. Simple as that.
Alternatives:
Benny - IMO pretty decent while at XDG. MegaZero - if he still wants to play Californiatrolol - pretty solid as far as I can tell Cruzer - still a huge upgrade over westrice

i do not have any insight into the situation, nor am i saying that coL is looking to replace westrice but
cris + pr0lly did not get along well on velocity nor did pr0lly + megazero on coL cruzer is likely still contracted to dig until the end of this split benny is "retired" (though that word means practically nothing in this industry) and calitrololz is on arguably the "best" NACS team, the one that would be most likely to face coL in the event that they finish last
i would be pretty surprised if coL replaced westrice with any of these players (or at all)

Saint said that Cris is still part of CA, but not sure in any capacity beyond a sub. He didn't say who'd be playing on Thursday.
|
Would be more interesting if they just picked up "PreciousMemories" for the lulz. Unless its a pro's smurf.
|
yeah I don't know if coL would replace west, there isn't anyone really good enough to replace him (at least from NA obviously). from what I can see there isnt a deep pool of skilled toplaners in NA.

i wish someone would just draft fabbbyyy already
|
Why would you draft fabbyyy when keithmcbrief is available?

I see. Thanks for your insight. I still see Benny with some potential if he decides to come out of retirement though.
Also, I think if CoL wants to avoid last place they absolutely need to replace westrice. Last place is very dangerous on NA - you don't know when there is going to be another LMQ popping up.

Westrice has been "good" for a long time, he was one of the original lol pros, but he's never been top tier, which pretty much means he's peaked. Competing full time, and he still is worst top LCSNA by a large margin means he probably will never improve at this point. He's one of the few top laners who give up 1v1 kills consistently, which is really saying something. AFAIK most of the korean amateur teams, even when getting stomped by pros in qualifiers don't outright feed over and over again from misjudging situations.

That's an interesting point, but I am not sure if CoL can grab someone this fast from Korea.
If CoL got half a brain they would be looking for another ex-pro or a top laner from the NA challenger scene right now.
Maybe they are doing it as we speak and the details are not finalized yet. I feel westrice won't be playing for more than 2 weeks and he knows it.

That's more because akali used to be the stuff of legend. She's since been nerfed 4-5 times, significantly.

not to mention he was the first adopters of Zed in high elo play. He had a 65% winrate on him despite the weird W bug for those months.

Why? It's somewhat interesting and League related. Not sure what the problem is.
