Trinity Ez is dependent on making a big impact with the Trinity 1-item timing. This is distinctly different from many other ADCs, and particularly different from Blue Ez which is in no hurry to fight until his Muramana charged up and has 1-2 additional items in hand. The thing is, the Triforce 1st item timing is just so strong right now. | ||

Here's a targets modified armor (given level 5 gatling) with Brutalizer, LW and BC. 50 > 0 Brut, 0 LW, 0 BC 75 > 12 Brut, 9.75 LW, 3.25 BC 100 > 37 Brut, 26 LW, 22 BC 125 > 62 Brut, 42.25 LW, 40.75 BC 150 > 87 Brut, 58.5 LW, 59.5 BC 175 > 112 Brut, 74.75 LW, 78.25 BC 200 > 137 Brut, 81 LW, 97 BC As you can see, with a Brutalizer (which is cheaper than a LW), you're doing pretty similar armor pen to targets up to 100 armor. With a BC you're actually doing better armor pen than a LW to targets up to 125 armor, and reasonably equal armor pen up to 200 armor. BC costs 700g more than LW, but 475 of that gold is spent on HP, which is a pretty useful stat. If you don't want to get 200 HP on your items, then instead of going 21/9/0 why not go 26/0/4, something like http://www.finalesfunkeln.com/s3/#llU7jGvTvdPV, that way you're basically trading the added defensive power (that you'll be getting through BC) for 8% mpen, which is useful on Corki, especially if you're running split pen marks. I realize that your argument is about timings and as far as I know you max gatling second on him (right?), I don't play the guy. But it seems to me that if LW is giving you good armor pen timings, Brutalizer should also be giving you good armor pen timings, and is cheaper. And gives you 10% CDR. Corki likes CDR. It's true that Corki's E is his only ability that stacks BC, but it's also his only ability that is affected by armor pen, so I don't really understand how that's relevant. It's not like Ezreal where mystic shot is physical damage and you don't want to hit somebody with it 5 times before you're doing max damage. I mean I dunno, maybe BC is a bad item on Corki, and I am obviously a terrible ADC. But it seems like something that's worth theorycrafting. | ||
