I don't agree with this at all. Ryze's skill isn't in flashy plays the way Lee Sin or Thresh or w/e might be. For Ryze, it more subtle.

What's your major? Semester or quarter system? I'm doing Chemical Engineering for freshmen year though I'm open to change it to anything in the science/engineering field. Depends on what I'm interested in after I learn what being an engineer or scientist really means. It's a semester system. It's LSU, pretty good price for the education for in state people from what I could see when checking around First 2 years should just be basic general ed stuff. Mostly stuff you can cruise threw fairly blindly (But these are easy GPA boosters, so be sure to grab the easy A's here). Last 2 years should be quite a bit more rigorous. I always found gen-ed "weed out" classes in public universities to "require" the least work, but they also generally have the harshest curves. Just something to look out for a bit. This is definitely true for the gen-ed for major pre-reqs. I remember when my Bio/Chem/Phys classes all had 30+% fail rate. Suffice to say, there were a lot of business majors afterwords. Pretty standard stuff.

They know how to play out positioning, when they can trade, when its absolutely safe to shove out a lane, etc etc.

Your parents are funny. And trolling you.

It depends on what you're going in to and how well you take to it. I had enormous amounts of free time my freshman year, just because I took to the format of college pretty well and was already pretty good at the technical classes I started taking.
These days I'm taking like three grad level courses + a non-technical class, helping out with research in my field, and sometimes working as a TA and I still feel like I have enough time to play a decent amount of league and other games with friends.
Basically, just wait and see. It's different for everyone, depending on circumstances.

I saw a Jax place a ward next to his own tower and I think that that's really smart. For 3 min you have a very reliable escape.

It's actually terrible. Why would you use it before you actually need it?

Oh I missed that part. I agree with pretty much everyone here: it really matters how you shift your priorities, but trust me when I say that college is FAR from "all business." I don't even think it matters where you GO.
I just wish I started playing LoL in college. Everyone on my SC2 team played it, but I didn't have my PC yet (Macs ftw!) so I never did. Then again, I probably wouldn't have had a degree if I did. :/
BUT I PROBABLY WOULDN'T BE BETTER AND STILL WOULD BE HORRIBLY STUCK IN SILVER 2!!!!!!

I got honors in college and consistently felt like I had more free time than I did in highschool, but that's just me.

I've done that more times than I can count.

he used it to dodge my harrass like 20 times, I dont think you would save for that... initially he placed it just before using it though yeah

Those supports who have amazing champion mechanics, but terrible warding are so funny. Usually they think they're gods gift to earth. Which is true in lane. But not the rest.
I got upset and just switched to support. Three win streak. Support is the hardest solo queue carry role

The past couple pages is an example of why the split off topic thread is a silly idea btw.

Maybe keeping the GD thread as is, and creating a serious LoL thread would work marginally better?

No one would use the other thread and the discussions invariably blend, with the end result of having two threads of mixed content in slightly different proportions instead of one giant thread of 50-50 mixed content.

I also just personally prefer our community to be consolidated. It's small enough as-is, splitting it up like that is just annoying.

I think there's a big enough difference between LoL in college and fish puns/pokemon/recipes. The first is tangential, but related to the discussion topic. The others are pure off-topic. I'm sure Neo will make a clarification if he feels differently.

Just for the record I'm not good at lol either but I don't tie it to my self worth. I tie that to other things.
This goes for all things. Don't make decisions when you're tired.

I'm gonna be a slob for a few days if I do that, superweek with NA finishing around 5 AM has taken its toll on me.

You can play League in college. Heck, you can do most things in college as long as you just schedule well.
It may seem obvious, but ALWAYS finish work before play. Well, not always, but at the end of a day of classes don't flop down and say "screw it I had a long day time to play". Do a little work first before starting League or whatever.
