With champions like Jayce, Kayle, Nidalee, and Elise you can proc ghostblade for 4 seconds in ranged, switch to melee, and prolong the duration longer. I dislike it on all of them because it's hard to put a squishy item on a melee and expect them to be able to use it, and ghostblade is a squishy item.
It's actually ridiculously easy to use with Jayce.

I don't think it's quite as simple as you make it sound....

He is correct though, the LoL scene is huge and is still growing. It might take some time, but having more support for LoL should be a good thing for TL as a whole.

I have NO IDEA why mancloud does not build Zhonya before Void Staff. Your damage is no good if you get blown up too fast.

Yeah, I realize more goes into it than just hiring a few guys that know a lot about LoL, but most of the admin posts I've seen in regards to covering LoL officially have been filled with a lot of apathy. I'm obviously biased since I prefer LoL to Dota 2, but I feel like ignoring the popularity of LoL and the ability to provide quality content despite it not being as complex as Dota 2, just look at the write-ups we already have, is a little shortsighted. No one has stepped up as the premier source of quality LoL content and analysis and I think TL has the pedigree to be that site. Getting people that are interested in LoL would be a step in the right direction.

Finding competent people for volunteer staff is rather stringent. It all comes down to manpower. If we're ready, you can be sure that I'd push for official support. We're not at that point yet.

I have to imagine these people are out there though, especially considering the size of the LoL user base, chances are they just aren't familiar with TL. I never played Starcraft and only found out about this subforum due to one of the write-ups that made it to the front page of Reddit. But recruiting this talent is another issue in itself. Glad to hear you're willing to make that push if we ever reach that point though.

Good to know I don't really know what it takes to run a forum like this or recruit staff, I just think what we have right now is great and we could need official support and more manpower to be able to grow. As onlywonderboy said, there's definitely an open spot for a good LoL portal, TL could be it.

I have to say I don't get the push to be 'official'
We all know that LoL is probably the #1 e-sport right now - we don't need to be covered by TL in any way to make it so. We have people from Riot that monitor this thread - how many forums can say that?
We already get excellent reviews/previews from the small LoL staff. And even though I consider myself a good writer and someone with really good knowledge of the LoL scene, I read each and every one of those pieces and come out learning not 1 or 2 things, but 4 or 5. In short, I'm absolutely not good enough as a writer or have enough game knowledge to write for TL, which has really high standards for the content it produces. If this fourm has 1,000 people that read it (I have no idea how many it is) there are a limited # of them that are actually capable of reaching the high standards of creating content. Being 'official' doesn't change this in any way.
Yes, LoL gets shit on all the time by DOTA2 and SC2 fans...but you know what...WHO CARES... we have an excellent little community, a game that is growing and growing, we don't need Team Liquid or any other site to say 'We're officially covering LoL now' because either they will see the trend and react or they will be passed by. Considering all of the articles written by TL are by FAR the best LoL content produced, we should consider ourselves lucky.
And if you feel the content is lacking - make you're own content, write a preview for IPL5 or a team profile or something you feel capable of writing. Maybe it's not the best(maybe it is!), but this community is pretty forgiving unless you make factually incorrect statements, and its not going to go unnoticed. This in turn creates discussion, which will improve you as a writer (likely) and maybe catches some more attention from the 'higher ups' in TL that will notice the demand for LoL content!
Man that rambled...now you see why I can't write, lol!

Man that rambled...now you see why I can't write, lol! For me personally it's not about lack or respect, it's amount of content and exposure. If we got enough people to become official, it would mean there are enough people to consistently provide quality content, which is a good thing. I also find it so weird that Reddit is the go to website for LoL news and information, having an alternative site would be nice. Don't get me wrong, I love the sub forum as is, but the amount of content doesn't satiate my desire to read more intellectual discussion about LoL. You make a great point about people providing content. I plan on doing something soon. A lot of hard work and information ends up going into one post in GD and is overlooked in the grand scheme of things even though it is quality analysis.

(right after IE) I'm thinking the burst AS synergizes perfectly with his ult, and the MS boost allows him to kite a bit better. Of course twitch's role isn't to kite, but to hit as many people as he can in a short amount of time, which is why I think the AS boost works perfectly. (plus armor pen) The total cost of Ghostblade is 2687g, which is only slightly cheaper than PD's 2845g. PD gives you permanent 55% AS while Ghostblade gives you a conditional 50% AS that only lasts 4 seconds (and is not increased per autoattack because that only works on melee autos). At the same time, you lose out on a lot of crit which synergises so well with IE (15% to 30%). Furthermore, the itemisation into Ghostblade is awkward. Zeal gives you an immediate increase in AS, Crit and MS before you reach Ghostblade. Avarice or Bruta gives you a bit of something, but isn't the same kind of spike in stats. oh wtf for some reason I though GB gave more AS than PD. Well I thought it had a passive AS increase but nevermind. Completely useless item that thing lol

In one game he actually finished DFG before even starting Zhonya's. As a result he kept having half his health burst away by scarra, while at the same time getting knocked away from the squishy champions he was gunning for. It was arguably a major factor in FeaR's losses.

Curse.
Jacky crushed mid, top and bottom were pretty close, then Crs just teamfought much better. I'd say Curse had advantage whole game.

@Amethyst21 and onlywonderboy:
The "official" stance simply means that we get our stuff posted on the front page. Our current staff would still orga the content. The main issue is quality and consistency. I'd like to think that the articles we produce are the best out there but we still have an issue with churning out articles on par with BW of old and even SC2 now.
In short, we're always looking for new writers. Recently, we're planning to expand our coverage to the OGN league. The big thing about the Champions is that it's the biggest LoL league out there. Multiple, high level games are played weekly but not many people are aware of what's going on. GTR is headspearing this project, he's a long time Red on TL. While he doesn't have the analytical background, he's passionate about LoL. The rest of the staff is more than capable of helping him out along the way. Chexx is one of our other writers and English isn't his first language. Same thing there, he's has a good understanding and we help edit his pieces as a team before it goes live.
Biggest issue, finding volunteers who are consistently able to contribute. LoL is a hobby for all of us at TL LoL but we aim to take it to the next level.
