Can't say much though as I have trouble ganking well with champs like Amumu and Naut early on (started doing more level 2-3 stuff as Mao only recently) and I don't like having to rely too much on teammates for my ganks, but Naut's damage and cds have been nerfed pretty hard in the last pass, which does nothing to help. Ult cooldowns on champs like Nocturne and Nautilus are so long now.  | ||

Naut's better at peeling many people because of the AoE on his slow and his passive, while Maokai's shorter cooldowns (esp. on Naut's passive that doesn't benefit from cdr iirc) make him better when dealing with only one or two people. So I generally find Maokai better unless you can ensure a safe early clearing for Nautilus, and then use his ult to secure kills and his better peeling during short fights for counterganks. | ||
