Don't think I'll be going back there anytime soon The amount of trashtalk on a game that SC2 could potentially take players from. Even DotA 2 forums and reddit are way nicer on LoL than SC2. Is it just the bitterness that SC2 isn't the primary Esports title anymore? And then there was the Inside The Game stuff... I'll keep having respect for Painuser, but other than him there wasn't even one having an attempt at a rational debate. Both Destiny and EG/Wheat were just having a pissing contest to see whose argument could sound loudest. And all this bickering isn't going to make the SC2 community better, nor will it make those who left for LoL return to SC2. [/rant] Just needed to get that off my chest. Watching Chaox stream for a bit, used to find his stream really annoying. Now it isn't as bad anymore, it's a bit more relaxed. | ||

The just lash out on lol because they have PTSD from being told the same things about their game from the BW ppl. It's like kids that get hit by their parents are also very likely to hit their own kids. BW abused SC2, and now they need to punch LoL to feel validated. So conversely, this is all BW's fault, even tho BW ppl almost never flamed lol, ever. | ||

Thats why I am curious how they can call it too low if their skill is not sufficient for high lvl gaming. People are just stupid sometimes. The vast majority of the BW population here was incredibly hyped about SC2 and most of us got in on the Beta. When the game was released proper, the forums got fucking swarmed with, well, you know what happens when communities get too large on the internet -- the quality of discourse goes right down the shitter. After that it was all bitter feelings when a lot of the BW dudes didn't find SC2 to their liking (like me, though I did my best to stay away from SC2 topics). | ||

I think it has more to do with SC2 really pushing gaming back into the light after some down years so they got this complex that they the only "legit" form of gaming instead of realising SC2 just helped everything get back to where it should have been. Instead of embracing competitive gaming they kind of flocked to one game and worshiped it. So much so that they forgot why they were interested in that game in the first place(See Drama gets more attention than the actual game). Anyway people should only be glad about LoL success since if BW taught us anything it's that one game doesn't last forever and the only thing that really matters is that something continues where it left off. | ||
