< 750g when back = Buy ruby crystal (into guise later) and pots. If you have to b this early, you're taking a beating and need the crystal. If you've already surrendered the lane, get Q over W for safer farm. 750g> but <1200g = Get sorcs and pots. Running around is what you do. >1200g = Get revolver. You're probably doing great already, time to go nuts. Never EVER buy part of revolver as Kat scales bad off of AP and they won't do you much good on their own. Add guise when possible. To me it's a tossup between abyssal and death cap for first real item. AP isn't all that awesome on Kat and you're not going to 100-0 anyone anyway so I'd go for versatility in abyssals. If you're really far ahead cap might be worth it though. DFG is tricky because it might make you bursty enough to kill a carry but that's not really how I play Kat so I haven't tested it enough. Eitheway both GA and hourglass are good picks (i prefer hourglass). | ||

but in like 80% of cases i wouldn't even bother i don't get hog on anyone with a blink, if that means anything. only junglers i still get it on are nunu, udyr, shyv, and skarner, and only cause they all do so much damage/utility that they scale better with defensive items primarily | ||
