A buddy of mine started playing Pantheon after seeing me dominate with him. However, he does silly stuff with him that is just... silly. Case in point, he rushes Trinity force and starts E (EWEWER, R>E>W>Q) because it "does more damage" and spears "waste mana." When I told him that a smart opponent will just run out of HSS so he'll do little to no damage and just pointlessly push the lane during the lane phase he told me that you just need to wait for the W stun every trade. (which uses costs more mana for the same damage as two spears with a longer CD, is much easier to return damage too, and has like zero follow up) I guess my point is, how does one go about telling their friends they are playing subotimally? Or do you just let them do stupid shit? | ||

I disagree entirely with this sentiment. AD carry is probably the only role in the game where every champ designed to fit that role is 100% totally viable at all levels of play. From MF to Urgot to Ezreal to Caitlyn to Vayne. They're all viable choices and they all wax and wane in popularity in the pro scene. And as for the post above, yeh I agree in that I don't think Kennen, Teemo, or TF should be counted as AD carries. Sure you can play all three of them as ADs but Teemo is totally different from every single AD carry while Kennen and TF are both stronger and more commonly built AP imo. When I think about it a bit more though, should Urgot really be considered an AD carry? I mean, I guess it depends on how we define ADs but to me an AD carry is a champ that's going to build AD+crit chance+attack speed to do crazy damage late game. Urgot only builds AD. He's like Teemo in that he's completely different from the rest of the AD carries. So I would probably argue that there's like 11 true AD carries. | ||

TF is usually played AP, Teemo is usually bruiser, Sivir never really sees play, and you missed Twitch altogether (because he's Twitch). Kennen is the only real "non-standard" ranged AD that sees a lot of play until AD Malz or Annie catches on. Still, there's less AD picks than mids, tops, or jungles, so I'm ok with there being another one. | ||

Let him do stupid shit and he will eventually have a WTF moment when he realizes that he's been playing totally wrong and will change stuff up and play better. If you want him to change his play faster, simply 1v1 him and wreck him. Making him change his play if he wants to beat you lol. | ||
