Euros are good at finding champions who work well when supported in a team atmosphere. In other words, finding champs that work well together. I dont think that those are "real 'op' champions" like phreak says, they are champions that excel a given circumstance, and often riot takes it upon themselves to nerf them unnecessarily. They seem to forget that certain champions do certain things better than others. Euros pick the ones out that do this in a team atmosphere, US finds the ones who are abusable in solo q. | ||

a) I play someone who is very strong at early levels (any AD, most APs) and I can beat/zone/out-cs the crap out of him before he hits revolver and lvl 7+, then use my advantage early to go into the same freefarm-mode as he does. b) I play someone who scales similar to him (Anivia, Akali and, worst case, Veigar come to mind) and enjoy having an easy time on early levels (and I might STILL be able to do the stuff from a) with the first two) and enjoy that I can't get fucked up on later levels because no one abused my early game weakness. Yes, he can come back from being horribly behind. Yes, he will completely fuck you up if you trade harass after he entered "Freefarm-mode". Yes, he will buttrape you and you entire team if you fucked up and didn't abuse his horrible early game. ---> He isn't retarded batshit OP, he just requires specific strategies and a solid understanding of how he works. Which also means, playing Vlad takes way less skill than playing against Vlad. It would be nice to find a solution that doesn't make him unkillable post lvl 9 / spellvamp / CDR boots but i doubt it's possible to find one without a revamp or completely breaking him. tldr; Vlad = awesome pubstomper. If he's retardedly op, why isn't he autoban in tournaments? /end discussion. | ||

Even if Rumble is stronger than Vlad I would much prefer to see Vlad nerfed, because while Rumble might have a fuckton of damage he can't just decide to go invincible for 2 seconds any time after level 2 and at least has to spend money to gain infinite health off of his abilities. | ||

They are really hard (if at all possible) to balance, for most champions fixing their numbers is ok - because in their dmg/cd/whatever lies the problem, however for these "bad design" champions changing their numbers won't help because it isn't the problem. The problem is that their abilities are VERY unique - it's kinda hard to balance abilities that are just annoying no matter the damage/cooldown that comes with them (like no matter how balanced vlad's damage output and healing would be, he will always be this asshole with uber-zhonyas that allows him to move while also healing himself and slowing and damaging enemies) | ||
