I guess that backdoor/global strategies always were somewhat viable. Because the game is changing so rapidly people never really have the time to explore alternative strategies. In solo Q you typically want to stick to one rather simple strategy because it's not really possible to coordinate everything with 4 randoms during the bans/picks. And afaik there aren't all that many high lvl arranged teams playing regularly.

This. Poppy's retarded power level is only compensated by total inability to farm.
On a more serious note, I seriously think Poppy is one of the best champions in the game design-wise. Team compositions come and go and Poppy still fits in.

Because she totally ignores the presence of both her own team and the other team. Real pro.
Even when her ultimate is off, she might as well have 4k base hp against any spell casting champion because of her passive, and paragon of demacia rapes damage of ranged carries and basically charges her AD to go kill them 5 seconds later.
Gotta love poppy. Playing alistar poppy and just getting kills and letting poppy farm is the most ridiculous thing.

I'm really having trouble understanding how these Go4LoL tournaments/standings work.
I can't find any useful info on their website either, or anything about current standings aside from that 'Top 20" crap in which no teams I recognize are even listed except like MSI and SK Gaming and shit.
Can't find anything on TL either
EDIT: Hmm...I was looking at the Europe site which might explain it.
Still don't understand how the tourney works though.
