Item builds are not as important as general strategy in some cases. Items only augment strategy and skills to the point that they become a minor strategy in themselves.

Honestly as long as you're spending gold you cant truly go wrong with items (within reason)

It's sort of amusing watching the quality of my teammates and opponents change as I go through matchmaking + performance swings (7 losses in a row last week as I was trying out Shen + probably got some bad luck; 5 wins in a row today as Morg/Kayle/Garen and got some good luck).

Depends on if you just want to play random IH with people or a dedicated tryhard team.
Either way I would suggest asking in LiquidParty. Make some friends!

(I know I'm personally looking to play with some competent people...)

bryden just called my pantheon build bad when I was doing the locicero build. it's a real shame that level 13 shen 40 minutes into a game often leads to a loss.
