Even with my super irelia regen build i was getting harassed to the point of just wanting to altf4 out of the game and take the leave. tl;dr what should you aim for when laning against a solo kennen? the only person I can beat kennen with is malphite, your best bet is to play aggressive early and hope he blows his summoner trying to kill you, then back and come to lane with a bunch of hp pots and one of two things will happen. 1 he'll harass you and you'll shrug it off and farm, or 2 he'll see that you have 63 health pots and not bother harassig you and you'll both just farm. I also like to push the lane against kennen and back frequently to buy MR. At level 10 irelia can beat kennen if kennen doesn't have his giants belt | ||

But as long as you keep your farm at a decent lvl and get your mercury threads as first item you should be relatively "fine". | ||

Kennen needs to get into psuedo melee range to really do dmg. Zhonyas allowed him to get there and stay there for the duration of his ult. Now, he's super vulnerable. | ||

If you feel that the invul active is that necessary for Kennen, go Rylai's => Zhonya's => Deathcap. But I still think Kennen's ulti is so ridiculous that you can stun, if not kill, most of your enemies before they can redirect their focus on you. Don't initiate with Kennen too aggressively. Run in first maybe, but make sure your tank is closely behind to CC the enemy off you after your ulti is more or less done. But for the most part, I think E + Ghost in, Ulti, Flash out and you're good as gold. | ||

Old Zhonya was better for Kennen because of the fact that he got more utility out of the Zhonya active than lots of other casters did. Deathcap is good for him but that's because Deathcap is just plain ridiculous--it's not better for him than other casters in the way Zhonya's was. | ||
