Another issue I always notice with new Sgt Hammer players is movement to map objectives, because she has no mount. If you use her Thrusters to get to an objective in time, then you don't have it to escape. On Cursed Hollow, if Sgt Hammer is top and the Tribute spawns bottom, you are pretty screwed.

Yeah I almost always stay in the middle lane on CH when I play as Hammer so that my travel distance to a tribute isn't too long. Save your thrusters to escape.

Awesome write-up, thanks! I find the pro-game drafts to be particularly useful in helping me learn what compositions go well together. I try to guess heroes before they're chosen, etc.

Also, I hadn't realized that the BB tower area looks like a happy face lol

I remember in the Alpha people would get in and just spam ping the smiley and say "SMILEY!" over and over in chat.

Did anybody learn anything useful from the first weekend of the July Open? Other than "Pro teams > amateur teams?"

hammer + 2 tanks still viable in HL imo, prob with hammer he has alot of counters... zagara, kerrigan, illidan, tyrael and so on... basicily everything that jumps on ur face... but with 2 tanks protecting at tfs, its fine. played her alot pre nerf.
