"That's why I fucked your bitch, you fat motherfucker" There are more things working for those two lines than you mention: --structurally: they're each made up of a pair of phrases of similar length --consonance: seasoning/magazine to end the first phrases (backed up by reason / season [different definition from seasoning in this line] / freezing) --assonance: this/diss/still The words used to finish a line (and therefore the rhyme) don't need to be unexpected in order to not be weak or contrived. When talking about a specific subject, like he is with the magazine review process, it's nice to end the line with something that is relevant to that subject rather than some random word. It's predictable, but in a good way. It gets the listeners involved so that they can hear the line in anticipation of it ending with the expected word. When you've got other people on the mic, which often happens when people are freestyling on radio shows or on the stage with their group, everyone can't help but say that last word with the guy. Everyone in the crowd is probably doing the same. The words aren't incorehent at all. The verse is one of self-description, proclaiming how awesome he is. He's just listing things about himself, coming at all different angles. The first phrase of the first line stands alone. It means he is flavorful as he is. He doesn't need anything added to him, like you'd add seasoning to meat, in order to make him palatable. The rest of it is pretty clear if you know how magazine reviews work. The magazines get pre-release previews of albums so that they can write a review that'll be ready for the release of the album. Eminem is saying he can diss the magazine in the preview he sends them and they'll still say it's great. And I can't believe you'd bring up 2pac/Biggie. Yeah, 2pac's track was probably the best we'll ever hear, but nobody wants people to fucking die over this shit. | ||

Whenever I read someone switching from verbal argument to physical challenge I lose respect for them, not gain it. Anywho this is all hilarity in my opinion but I honestly can't care about someone's life whom I don't know personally. I do lean towards liking his song but mainly because Mariah trying the fancy cat high class whore routine has never impressed me. She is an amazing singer and looks good but there is just no substance there. | ||
