He settled with the first family out of court due to his rapidly deteriorating health & drug addiction, brought on by taking painkillers, Valium, Xanax and Ativan at various times & slowly increasing dosages to deal with the stress of this court bullshit & the media explosion surrounding it. Lisa Marie Presley (who he later married & divorced two years later on friendly terms) convinced him to settle out of court & enter rehab, he did both things. the second case brought against him is the one everyone here is thinking about & is why the retards around the world think he's a child molestor. michael jackson was one of the largest contributors to children's charities, but he also suffered profound abuse during his childhood which caused him to mentally regress as his health worsened. There was a psychiatric evaluation of Jackson during this trial and the doctor concluded that Jackson acted like he had regressed socially (this is common among victims of the sort of abuse Jackson went through as a child), comparable to a ten year old. here's what most people don't know, because they're too eager to throw shit around: Elizabeth Taylor was at Jackson's home on the night these actions were alleged to have taken place, in the bed with Jackson and the kid, watching fucking Disney movies like you would with a young sibling or a little cousin or something. She went on Larry King and defended Jackson and somehow this slipped under the radar of the rabid jerkoffs that loved to pretend Jackson was a pedophile. Michael Jackson was acquitted of all charges in this second case & it was proven that this child's mother was a scam artist who had pulled an identical stunt several years earlier. Michael Jackson had a fucked up life, but he's a legend, and he's not a goddamned pedophile | ||
