Its because he bumped a 2 or 3 year old thread for practically nothing. >.<

Oh so that's much worse than creating a new thread which would talk about the same thing. At least he/she had the decency to search it. I swear you can't even breathe on these forums without a slap on the wrist.
Anyways claw grip ftw on my zowie mico.

thanks to the massive influx of new people their job has become pretty time consuming, and things that you used to be able to do occasionally (but would get warned if you did often) are becoming too commonplace and clogging up the forums
things like necros

I'm definitely a claw man.
Always played games that way, ever since D2:LOD back in '02.
|
Surely it's more time consuming to warn someone.
I use claw on my DeathAdder. I have pretty big hands, and it's the way I find most comfortable and accurate with the DeathAdder. But with my mx518 I use something that's between palm and claw, but basically palm. Just because of the shape of it.
I use DeathAdder for gaming like starcraft and battlefield, where I need mouse control, but it's not as comfortable and it's more tiring. When I'm playing something like fallout, or the upcoming skyrim, I use my mx518 because it stays comfortable after hours.

I imagine if he had necro'd and actually put some kind of content into the thread, he wouldn't have been warned, but all he did was put a one-liner about what grip he uses. Doesn't do any good to necro for that reason. :/
gogo claw grip! :>

If only the images worked... but interesting none the less... not sure what I use since I can't see those pictures.
|
I use the fingertip method just because that was how I got accustomed to gaming from playing FPS games like Counter-Strike: Source, that require precision to get headshots, bank grenades off walls, etc.
I never know whether to bump an old thread or make a new thread discussing the exact same things. Bumping an old thread gets you a warning/temp ban while if you make a new thread, then everyone acts like you're a retard that doesn't know how to use the search function.

Claw when moving horizontally, fingertip when moving vertically.
|
how can u palm for playing? so uncomfortable. i use claw grip
|
I use claw grip. It's also the position that is most unfortunate if you have a fingertip injury like I have now... Ouch! When browsing the web, I often use fingertip grip, but in-game I feel like I have the most speed and precision with the Claw grip.

if not posted yet, the link from OP is a bit dated/off/doesnotworkanymore haha
use/add this instead http://www.razerzone.com/mouseguide/ergonomic personally, i'm used to the size of small mice since days of CS and when DPI was not really a stat. you looked at.
i switched to a slightly larger mouse (minioptical to abyssus optical) and had a hard time switching from what was more a fingertip/palm hybrid (since your palm can grip the tiny thing at the same time you fingers can have a firm hold of the buttons). as well it was different having the larger size the newer mouse took up on the surface of the pad (previously very limited mouse space). these days it's a very interesting feeling and i'm very certain i switch between all three mentioned styles quite often during a long match----most commonly to palm and fingertip. i remember when nada had a really fast palm style and i'd always end up concentrated on how fast he was clicking both buttons at once with alternating index and middle fingers, all while they tapped flat against the mouse surface.
sorry, just wanted to add... i thought moon's quote for fingertip grip was pretty kinky.. LOL
"I LIKE HAVING MY LONG FINGERS DO ALL THE WORK WHILE THE BACK OF MY PALM RESTS ON THE MAT."

Saying "I have a claw grip" is not an acceptable reason to necro a thread, period. Searching and necroing something with nothing to add is practically asking for a warning and a thread close.
That being said, I have a claw grip.

I use fingertip I guess? I have relatively large hands so I hold the mouse between my thumb and ring finger and rest my index and middle fingers slightly bent over the buttons. The palm of my hand is about an inch away from the back of the mouse
|
I have to use both hands because it's just too thick for one hand to get around th-
Oh on the mouse?
Erm claw grip I suppose. Can't put my whole palm on there because my long Voldemort fingers hang way over the edge.
