I love vocal trance because it make's you feel so good, it just makes you feel completely free. Anyone else like vocal trance? What are your favorite songs? Favorite Dj's, Artists? Don't like vocal trance? Why?
If you like vocal trance of any other kind of techno, i guarentee you have either heard of this song or will LOVE it when you hear it.
Ocean Lab - Satellite
Just in case your into trance or vocal trance or you liked the video above uploaded a .rar file containing 86 great vocal trance songs... the songs are
**EDIT** You can only see the songs when click on the image and then enlarge it with the maginifieing glass sorry about that**
meh I didn't like oceanlabs album that much, although there were a couple of songs on there that I liked. The song you posting being one of them. I have a lot of favorite dj's like armin van buuren, markus schulz, paul van dyk, nic chagall, cosmic, gate, aly & fila, marcel woods, marco_V_, above & beyond, dj tiesto, and paul oakenfold just to name a few. It would be so hard to name all my favorite songs for trance right now, but the one I listen to the most is mr. sam feat. claud9 - cygnes, it's an absolute choon if you like trance/vocal trance.
My god that is such an old song, but it is an all time classic imo. Although vocal trance is getting out of control because there are so many cheesy vocals out right now it's not even funny.
yeah di.fm is pretty a good stream although their quality of songs vary to me. Although I love the fact that they play so many of the weekly radio shows like a global dj broadcast, a state of trance, trance around the world, and all.
edit: Yeah your play list looks pretty decent. Looks like you have a decent mix of some old songs with new songs. Certainly hope your trance collection is bigger then that. If not you can pm me and I'll send you some stuff if you'd like. I don't know why but I laughed when I saw linkin park - shadow of a day (blake jerrell remix).
I love trance. However i've stopped listening to it to be honest because of the lack of good new material coming out. I live in Miami and theres a huge love for house music down here, and its rlly one of my most favorite genres at the moment. I'll post some good trance and house songs i like.
SPIT - DAWN (DADDY'S GROOVE FULL VOCAL MIX)
Here's an incredibly chill and amazzzzzing song which will probably cater more to your taste if u like trance. Plastic Inc - Stay-Go (Ali Payami Remix)
Another verrrryy chill song you can just listen to and smoke a blunt to, it always reminds me of watching the sunrise on the beach. This falls more under the "tribal house" genre but alot more mellow. rui da silva - on my mind justin c justin xara edit
This has remained my favorite song for a long ass time. I only hear it from time to time so i dont play it out. I can't find the version i like but its fucking amazing. Armin Van Buuren - Control Freak (Sander Van Doorn Remix)
vocal trance n trance are a little slow for me, but i still listen to a lot of both. i personally prefer happy hardcore, in any case here are some trance DJs i listen to: Tiesto Sammy Paul Van Dyke Aura Milk Inc. Bluecore (happy hardcore but has some good trance mixes)
You guys are aware of RipCast right? Lets you save streaming music. I just run it all day sometimes, even if im AFK, and return to a huge library of music to sort through. Especially useful when you hear a song half way through you realize you really like and want to keep. It's already downloaded!
I listen to mostly EBM which is rather close to vocal trance, but my absolute favorite band is VnV Nation. That's even further away, anyway I like pretty much all beat music along these lines. Oddly enough this is what got me into b-boying. Since hip hop is essentially slow beat music I really enjoyed the music and the dancing.
Listen to Gareth Emery podcasts and Armin Van Buren. You will be happy for the rest of your life.
=)
omg I love this song. Never knew who it was by until now, so thank you so very much. Well not the orignial so much as a remix of it. It was played by markus schulz in his set in san fran that was aired on a dj global broadcast.
I guerentee that if you listen to vocal trance, or normal trance, or hardcore techno, of just techno in general while you play bw, your apm will go up A LOT.

I agree completely. I'm not even joking. People think I'm just trying to plug trance or someshit but seriously, my trance helps me play so much. I ladder with 0 SC sound with blasting trance. Helps me concentrate immensely and trains me to pay attention to minimap and junk. =D

meh listening to trance doesn't help increase my apm. Although that could be because my apm is 220-250. Half the time I don't even remember what I listened to during the game.
yeah can't sleep and sirens of the sea are like my two favorite tracks from above & beyond. I especially like the Mr. Pit vs. Above & Beyond - Shana Can’t Sleep (Black Army Mashup) that armin plays all the time.

Sort of..
The way the OP was said, it was like that trance, house, etc is all 'techno' when they're not. They are all genres of music on their own, imo.
I downloaded the .rar file. thanks for the upload. also, how exactly do they differentiate between each genre anyway. i have a bit of what i think is eurodance and it sounds more or less the same.
Ps. anyone else who went to creamfields this year? Ive seen tiesto a few times in sweden and he sucked badly, but the show he pulled at creamfields this year rocked my world. other honorable mentions - oakenfold (when he did southern sun oakenfold08 edit... FUCKING TUNE), deadmau5 - slow start but atleast he has a cool hat, Swedish house mafia had a great tent overall, and both the cream tent and goodreef didnt really disappoint me. too bad armin wasnt there too though. Would have blown me away.

I used to really like techno and trance when I was about 13-14 years old. Then I sort of got very sick of it and didn't listen to any electronica until about a year ago when I got into Trentemøller.
I highly recommend you give his album The Last Resort a listen, it is has a very unique, cold sound, and he utilizes fuzzes and blips that normal mixers would try to edit out.
Recently, I've been listening to a lot of Electro and Electro-clash.

Yeah, I have found an amazing liking to Vocal trance. At first my fav was epic trance, but I slowly drifted over the vocal. I forgot the name, or where to DL it, but there is a great trance mix.
God armin fuckin rock this set like no tomorrow. Also this years round of festivals was fuckin sick this year. Nature one, Sunrise, Love Parade, Trance energy and a number were all fuckin mind blowing to me. Wish I could of seen them live. T.t

This thread happens just when i'm 3000 km away from my playlist, I would contribute so much more, I'm more into jumpstyle and here are a couple of songs that absolutely rock my world:
DJ Korsakoff - My empty Bottle
East Clubbers - To the Moon and Back
Basshunter - Boten Anna
Check out other east clubbers songs, they are bananas

Well teach them instead then. OP obviously has an interest/passion for the genre. There is no need to tell him down on that. Fact remains that just because techno is a specific subgenre it still is used as a generalizing name for the entire electronica genre by those who doesnt know details. It doesnt neccesarily mean that they arent interested or enjoys the music - which imo is more important than knowing what "electronical-body-chillout-breakbeat-techtrance-insert-random-subgenre-here" is.

If you have a passion for something shouldn't you actually learn the difference within that subject you are passionate for? Also you just contradicted yourself by saying techno is used as a generalizing name for the entire electronica genre by those who doesn't know details yet stated early that the op obviously has a interest/passion for the genre. well, i have no idea how far into the electronica genre op is, but i dont really demand that someone who recently found out a music genre he/she likes have some kind of obligation to learn all the details before making a team liquid forum post, do you? And no, i did not contradict my own post, i was replying to your post, one that was thrown into an argument you did not follow from the beginning and which did not involve you the slightest (my response in it self might be the only contradiction there - to common sense). Finally this still comes down to sharing passion for music and measuring epeens. I prefer music...
I personally prefer Happy Hardcore in terms of electronic music, while Vocal Trance always remained "second." But you've definitely gottten me much more interested in Vocal Trance.

I'm a big gielen/tiesto/van buuren fan but listen to a myriad of weird stuff. Tiesto has to be my overall favourite though, some of his albums have been on my iPod for years.
Majai Phoria (Big Room Elevation Remix) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvyvBdxyNUw Also this set was absolutely fucking the shit and the one I was talking about in earlier posts.
LOL, you know what? The first picture in the video to Ferry Corstens new track Radio Crash was made by me! I never knew someone used it in a video. Pretty funny to see that.

yo our .rar doesn't work...maybe update it or something, I want some trance to listen to but i don't reall yknow any good trance artists...so i would rather just download your .rar
Awesome topic. It's truly my form of music as well.. Trance is truly great. So vocal-trance fits in there as well! It almost amplifies the trance effect when theres really nice vocals added to it.
I've been listening to Trance and electronica genre ever since my stay in Florida from 2001-2003. It's sad to say that I used to listen to the dreary pop, rock genres before I was introduced to the techno-rave scene by a friend of mine. It's changed my life totally
My fav Dj's / artists: Dj Tiesto (recognize bitches.. #1 Dj in the world) Armin Van Buuren, Paul van Dyke (haven't heard too much from him solely, but heard classics from him, like Children), Cosmic Gate (does some nice remixes), Daft Punk, Ferry Corsten, Dj Icey, Dj Baby Anne (although she mainly does break-beats and hard-bass)
Featured tracks, some of the better ones w/ vocals: Ferry Corsten: Fire (flashOver mix) ]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wnWPVQtUKjU&feature=related I'm afraid if you don't liek that, you need to get into another genre ^ ^
Dj Tiesto In Search of Sunrise 5: Los Angeles Colour My Eyes
That one comes after Track#1 called Malibu Beach, which is a really nice lead in to #2, Colour my Eyes and it's actually followed by #3, Empty Streets which is also a pretty good vocal track. Once you're listening to the utube link for this one, i'm sure you can easily find Empty Streets on the sidebar if u're interested in hearing it.
I got most of Tiesto's In Search of Sunrise cd's.. they were a good buy, getting 2 cds for liek 16$ as opposed to getting 1 CD w/ like 10-12 tracks for same price..
Dj Tiesto In Search of Sunrise 5: Los Angeles Cass - Little Bird (track 14)
And yes, like someone posted, the Delerium - Silence remix is sooo popular.. It was like one of the 1st ones I heard.. along w/ another great Staple in the Trance industry.. Rank 1 - Airwave (who remembers that!!)
But definately, keep the music going.. Share the love! I'll drop a link that some of you guys might wanna check out.. It's a another totally commited community, much like TeamLiquid, that focus on the love of music (trance/techno) and practice an artform of dance w/ glowsticks/glowstrings and liquid. www.Glowsticking.com Their motto is: Peace Love Unity Respect Something that's relevent to the BW scene.. We should all support each other and help each other to continue our progress to become the best player we can be (which TeamLiquid excels at more than any other website community, props to TL.net for that)
gL <3 edit: Yes!! i forgot about Andy Duguid - Wasted as well!! of course it's from dj tiestos in search of sunrise 7: Asia collection, it's preluded by Feel the Sun rise which is a good lead-in to that track.. and it's just great! The beat is amazing, but somehow I think I forgot that it had much vocals in it - -v for shame! so ya.. Dj Tiesto, recognize!! ;D

I'm a DJ, so... I listen to everything because it's my job. Trance is horrible, for a while I listened to it because I didn't know about music like Venetian Snares (who is a fucking genius by the way). I'm only opening a few more doors my friend, no need to be hostile simply because I'm voicing my opinions.
This is shaping up to be one of the best threads ever of the general section.
This has opened up so many new alternatives for me regarding Vocal Trance. My iPod has been completely renovated the past few days. Thanks so much nAi.PrOtOsS for starting this thread and everyone else for fueling it!

Lol so because you're a DJ means you know everything in music? If that's the case then how come you aren't more popular like Armin van Buuren or Dj Tiesto? Just because you are a DJ doesn't mean you know everything about music. Everyone has their own taste in music, like those vods you showed were absolute trash to me like trance sounds to you. Plus there still was no need for you post in this thread if you hate trance, or you could of just posted your vod in a more friendly way instead of opening ugghh trance is bad. So don't get all offended when I said your vod was horrible.
My favorite music genre is melodic death metal but there are some trance songs I really enjoy listening to. They just spread the incredible feel of freedom whenever I listen to them. Since I'm not very well versed in terms of different trance styles, bare with me when any of those songs are not exactly trance/vokal trance.
for the love of anything thats holy, dont miss this one. Most remixes of McLachlan is usually good. I strongly reccomend anything with gabriel and dresden printed on it. But this junkie XL remix is about one of the best songs he ever made in my opinion.
Dj Tiesto In search of Sunrise 7: Asia Dokmai - Reason to Believe
This one isnt vocal trance, but it's like.. prolly my favorite track i've EVER heard.. and I normally keep my fav's in like a top 5 fashion..
Moogwai - Viola !!!
side note: I didn't know this version I supplied was performed by or remixed by Armin Van Buuren.. but its about the same length.. the one I got is like 7 mins rather than 9.
Also, I'd like to thank Duke_ss for supplying a track on page 1 Mr. Sam feat. Claud9 - Cygnes (Armin Van Buuren remix) it's become another one of my favs.. and been listening to it a lot today ^ ^ thx yo!

Yeah that song is just soooooooo good. I've been hooked on it ever since he played it a while back on his radio show a state of trance.
umm is there a reason you posted this in a vocal trance thread? It's just a bunch of pictures of your friends with no music.

Sorry first couple times I clicked on it I didn't hear any sound but now I do. T.t What is the name of the song and such? Also I wouldn't consider that vocal trance at all. Just a random pop song to me.

yeah I heard a state of trance 2007 was good, but I've seen the tracklist for a state of trance 2008 and it didn't look that great plus I heard the radio show where he previewed the album and wasn't impressed at all. happy hardcore, hardcore, hard style and gabber for me vocal trance is OK. it's more of a chillout type of style. good for long highway drives but that's about it. a bit too boring and slow for any other situation.

Tiesto - In My Memory (Gabriel and Dresden Remix) and Oakenfold - Southern Sun (Tiesto remix) owns that cd.

Well happy b-day starparty! If you've heard #6, then u know that track#'s 1-2; La Hacienda / Contact are some of the best on that album.. and is another album where he nails the opening tracks w/ awesome ones.. Likewise on #7: Asia w/ "feel the sun rise" / "wasted"
I've heard "in my memory", I have it burnt somewhere and need to put it on my ipod >< Southern Sun.. ya it's good.. but after having it for years.. it's gotten a little repetitive.. to me.. For some reason.. Southern Sun seems a lot like, or reminds me of Rank-1: Such is life

I dunno sir.. ISOS 6: Ibiza.. tracks 1-2 are F'ING GOSU.. and there's a few other good ones on that album.. ISOS 7: Asia.. tracks 1-2 again... amazing.. and i've alrdy posted a track from #7, "Reason to believe".. theres a handful of good tracks on each album..
so ya.. At 1st I was hesistant to buy those albums.. was just going to try to DL most of them.. but I wasn't able to remember all the names of the artists and track-names from all the different CD's.. so I just ended up buying 'em.. purchases well worth it
I got ISOS's 4-7.. An Armin Van Buuren "State of Trance 2007" and a George Acosta "History of Trance '97-04'" or something.. all 2 CD sets.. much better than the 1 CD albums for same price of like 15-20$$.
glgl
ISoS3 is my favourite of the ones ive heared (2-6)
Tiesto - In My Memory (Gabriel and Dresden Remix) and Oakenfold - Southern Sun (Tiesto remix) owns that cd.
The Oakenfold 2008 edit of southern sun is better than the tiesto remix though, the entire cream tent were just flying 50 meters above the ground when he played it on creamfields this year.

Southern Sun seems a lot like, or reminds me of Rank-1: Such is life
I dunno if I heard the Gabriel&Dresden remix to "in my memory", but i'm about to search for it now! p.s. I heard Gab and Dres split up.. i hear this right when i read on some forums that were a great duo.. and that ppl should get all their mixes that they could.. =[ glgl <3
Thats pretty funny, you said grats before the date actually turned 21 in my country since ypu are ahead in timezones
GnD split up? Great, what a bday gift.....
The opening on Isos5 red cd is pretty explosive too The rest of that cd is average, the yellow one is really good past the 2-3 first tunes though
Ya.. thats another one I forgot to mention... tracks from #5: Los Angeles. 1 - malibu beach 2 - colour my eyes 3 - empty streets 4 - beside me (nothing special about this one) 5 - moonlight party (good vocals and beat to this one) novacaine, let the game begin (includes vocals from 'saw' of "let the game begin") and little bird are also other notable tracks from CD1
and ya.. there are a few bland tracks but man.. I used to think just CD1 was good... but after listening to some of the tracks on CD2.. they started hitting me..
good tracks from #2, if you haven't alrdy noticed them: zanzibar, technophobia Tales from the South (pretty hot jam right there, serious. I'mma link it even though it's not considered vocal trance!) Estuera - Tales from the South (Dj tiesto remix)
and pretty much, after that one.. the whole closing tracks are good together but good period. second turn >> Hi jack >> Genesis >> Helsinki Scorchin' >> Dont forget me
As far as you mention the "yellow cd".. that sounds about like #5, Los Angeles, as the cover of it is yellow.. other than that, you might mean #6, Ibiza.. But anywho! Here's another jam thats got good 'hookin' vocals.. I heard it a few times and started to like it more and more.. oceanlab - On a good day (above and beyond remix) feat. Vocals of Justine Suissa
1. Dogzilla - Without You (Original Mix) 2. Lange feat Sarah Howells - Out of the Sky (Original Mix) 3. Blank & Jones feat. Bobo - Perfect Silence (Club Mix) 4. Above And Beyond - Good For Me (Above And Beyond Club Mix) 5. The Thrillseekers feat. Aruna - Waiting Here For You (Breakfast Remix) 6. Gabriel & Dresden Feat Molly - Tracking Treasure Down 7. Paul Oakenfold - Southern Sun (Gabriel & Dresden Unplugged Mix) 8. Vantem (Cerf, Mitiska & Jaren) - You Never Said (Dash Berlin Remix) 9. Jose Amnesia feat. Jennifer Rene - Wouldnt Change A Thing (Original Mix)-2007 10. Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars (Topher Jones & Blake Jarrell Remix) 11. Paul Van Dyk Ft. Jessica Sutta - White Lies (Dave Spoon Mix) 12. Clear View Featuring Jessica - Tell Me (Max Graham Remix)
Musli, basically every single track you posted was friggin great. Vocal Trance, even tho a subbranch of Trance, is really wide itself.
It seems we have very much of the same taste - if you have more stuff you want to share, I'd love for you to post it or PM me. I'll do likewise if I find something exquisite
Here's another one I recently found that applies to vocal trance (although i've found numerous others that are trance and really good ^ ^)
Nadia Ali - Crash n Burn (it says Dj Shah island remix, but it shows a pic of Armin Van Buuren) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=neOb_jcYMEo Really catchy vocals yo.. and what's a "choon"? ;o
ahhh F it.. Here's a trance tune thats really caught my attention )) Svenson & Gielen - Falling Star
^ woot ^
oh ya.. "as the rush comes" is really nice too.. reminds me of the 'flow' of Tiestos "In the dark, feat. Chris Burns"
