And a current run-down of polling issues:

Shenanigans 'R' Us

WASHINGTON, D.C.--Herewith a partial accounting of (unsubstantiated) chaos at the polls, as reported by callers to legal volunteers here at Election Protection headquarters:

St. Louis, MO: Voters are being offered $100 to leave the line and abstain from voting.

Warsaw, VA: The lights are out at the precinct and poll workers are using flashlights.

Aurora, CO: "Soiled ballots."

West Orange, NJ: The voting machine broke. Poll workers have paper ballots, but no pencils. Oops.

Market Street, Philadelphia: Voters are cutting in line; poll workers are threatening to shut down the precinct.

Largo, FL: Voters are being booted from line for wearing partisan clothing.

Manassas, VA: A woman is told she has to choose between local and national elections--a volunteer insists she can't vote in both.

Hamilton County, OH: When a scanner broke, the ballots were placed in an envelope and sent downtown. Voters were told the ballots would be counted "tonight or tomorrow."

More from Philadelphia: Partisan volunteers are escorting voters into the booth.

Ingham County, MI: The A-K line is moving slower than the L-Z line.

Pittsburgh, PA: Machines are down, down, down!

Bartow County, GA: Only Republicans are on some ballots; Democrats have to be written in. Also, the booths face open to the line, so your neighbors can see who you're voting for.

Baltimore: Voting machines are stuck in "audio" mode. Elderly woman reports "mass confusion."

Alabama: "Nails were thrown in front of the polling places."

Richardson shaved his beard.
That wasn't any act of God. That was an act of pure human fuckery.

Dude across the street from my work is from West Orange. He said it was JAMMED there.

My city isn't. We usually have a low turn out, but then again, we have like 18 polling stations, with 4-5 machines.

If you guys elect McCain, there will be blood.

Had to say it.
The fellow who is out to burn things up is the counterpart of the fool who thinks he can save the world. The world needs neither to be burned up nor to be saved. The world is, we are. Transients, if we buck it; here to stay if we accept it. ~H.Miller

wtf was he thinking

I don't know. I saw that and I just lost the will to vote. What's the point of it all, of this 2 years of madness, if that beard isn't going to be in the State Department? I think I'm going to be sick.

NOOOOOO! My governor shaved the beard!

It is truly disgusting to hear about attempts to stop citizens from voting. I hope that they catch many of those doing these acts and deal with them as is appropriate.

So I don't like to watch FoxNews (or any cable new for that matter), but their website has a very unique feature they added for this election. I like it.

http://www.foxnews.com/

The map with state results.

They look like the best set-up website for the election.

EDIT: I should note that even though I always bash cable news, I have noticed that on election night, they have the best coverage. Probably cause they have more money. As far was what is on TV, I think CNN did it the best the last few elections. But this year, I am more interested in their websites.

Grew up in Belen, left for college in another state, now I am back in Los Lunas and attending Med school at UNM.

I'm amazed to have found other New Mexicans.

Watching a combo of CCN, BBC and DR2 (danish TV).

Damn this is exciting! Wow, wish danish elections had this sorta 'wow'-factor to them! Super-duper hyped atm

GO OBAMA!

EDIT: only thing pestering me about CNN is the constant need for tech bs. Cancel that hologram thingy, it's ugly

I have a choice on TV between NBC or ABC coverage.

Which should I watch?
