Geez I wonder what the republican strategy must look like:

-use fear to gain votes, check
-choose dumb female VP instead of someone suited for the job to gain votes, check
-corrupt the media, check
-exploit religion to gain votes, check

He wouldn't even be close to Bush jr if he got to be president, he's basically a dumber version with even more retarded views on just about any country that isn't America.

the real shame is that mccain used to be a "maverick" in which he went with what he thought was right, instead of following party rank

a couple months ago, he was talking about having the first dignified race or something, but then turned the attack dogs on obama, who seems to be much more respectful of mccain than the republicans are of him

its especially embarrassing to hear sarah palin attack obama's work as a community organizer when the community he organized was probably larger than the "city" that she was mayor of.

mccain and bush were at odds when mccain ran against him for the republican nomination in 2000 and yet he is using the same people against obama

the old mccain who was friendly with reporters and spoke his mind was much better than the new one who follows the script right down to the periods.

So sad that the presidential race never turns out as the candidates promise, but then thats to be expected isn't it? I mean, since when did politicians actually say what they mean to do. Maybe the dream of a real democracy is pretty much impossible, and can only last so long until the government, after doing all it can to destroy it, succeeds.

Or perhaps I am being extremely pessimistic -__-

yea but obamas a relatively new candidate and he seems to keep it alot lower toned than most politicians do.

and i expected that mccain would remember how it felt when bush's lackeys hit him hard in 2000 and try to refrain from acting like that as well. or maybe mccain realized that thats how he lost alot of support and is using the same tactics yet again to gain the presidency

Hating the Chinese is definitely worse for economic reasons, considering how much of our manufactured goods come from there. Even the current US government has realized this and has been careful to anger China over human rights and free speech issues.

Although we do get oil from Russia they generally less chances for the US to come into conflict with them, since they are technically a democracy.

I have been following the presidential race.

And i gotta say McCain really disapoints me, i mean, i will judge a man and his administration by how he handles his campaign.

So far he has, spread fear, lies, tried to stay out of the fire and let his lackeys do it for him, received lobbyst support.

I expect Bushnator 2.0 The Worst President that ever could be.

Its not that Barack obama is better or worst.
Is that the democrat admistration just shows in every way it is more prepared to handle the USA than the republican ones.

It doesnt matter what obama wants or doesnt want, the president of brazil said he would fix hunger and starvation in brazil, guess what, there was NONE! the only places people were hungry were places the government couldnt acess in years.

So judge his campaigns, judge the feeling he pass on to you, because thats all you really god, political promisses are fleeting, you can only hope to use the present judgement of him to judge if his judgement if the kind of judgemeht you want judging the matters of your country.

And not to say i really like obama, but common the other choice is like friggin satan

edit: on a side not, everyone must know Lula by now, the ex communits worker etc... that became a president.

Well lemme tell you, right now his party (the workers party) is doing pretty good considering hes getting a lot of capital for the economy and has been very lucky, hes a good man, surrounded by crooks, but in the end of the day i know that chimp has the heart in the right place, and wouldnt put us in any useless war, or abandon those in need, or lack effort in a major crisis.
