The updates have been slower. It's a symptom of me being a lot busier at work this week though, and nothing else. My writing time outside of work is taken up completely by my novel, so if I don't get anything done at work then nothing gets done at all. I don't have anything scheduled for the first half of the day tomorrow though, so if that doesn't change then I'll probably be able to finish it then, as there's not a whole lot more left.

meh.

It reads like anything by King. Lots of unimportant details that aren't relevant. (The comparison to a movie scene...why? That whole part is just lame IMO) Gets very tedious after you mention any major event in the story. Use of imagery and sense appeal is good though. Overall you know how to fill out a book, but your subject matter sucks to begin with frankly.

note that all of this is opinion, but since nobody is gonna care about that anyway, go ahead and flame the hell out of me. I find the story boring, hit me with what you got.

You're welcome to find the story as boring as you like, but when somebody puts that much effort into something, posting just to say his story sucks is not a very nice thing to do.

Man, it's about time. There's no way in hell anyone's going to write a story that everyone likes, so the fact that I wasn't getting any negative feedback was weirding me out. I expected a lot more of it, frankly, since as you said, the subject matter isn't for everyone.

I do have to say, though, that while your comparison to King was apparently meant to be something less than a compliment, in my opinion it's pretty high praise. That guy has been writing for decades, which is something that I can only aspire to. And even if his stuff's gotten a little stale lately, IT, The Talisman, and some of the Gunslinger novels are in my top favorite reads of all time.
