Simply ask them why they acted as they did, rather than tell them they are wrong. More often than not when you hear the whole story, instead of just looking it at from the perspective of a single thread, you'll agree with their decision. It's a question of tone. | ||

If I remember correctly it was his first reply to the first question about this, which pissed off a lot of people who continued to ask for a reason, and it wasn't until then did they explain that it was due to sponsorship etc. Anyway, not trying to make a big deal out of it just telling it as it is. | ||

Why should I have to answer every question 500 times when the answer is already in the document that every new user is linked to? In practice, this policy means a user who has 1000+ posts may be able to get away with a few minor transgressions in etiquette with just a warning. If you're at 50 posts and you try the same kind of stunt, then we may just ban you. Harsh? Yes. Unfair? Most definitely. But that's the way life is. Learn to live with it. This also means you should think twice before calling that guy with 5000+ posts a jackass. If the guy's been with us that long, chances are YOU'RE the one being an idiot. I think like a lot of people has said it in this thread = one liners are fine as long as they aren't harming other people, insulting, flaming, starting dumb shit, etc. I love the purge pictures btw, they are neat ^_^ | ||
