Yea, I kinda did too. Its difficult to just wash off your hands fully when you are putting it on (especially when you're in a hurry all the time like me). It also sorta makes your scalp hurt from holding your hair in 1 spot, kinda like if you wore socks too long on your legs type of thing. But it only happens if you don't wash or change your hair for 2 days or more.

Is that just after you've styled your hair? It looks really good :O. So I am guessing the idea of this topic is to find a way to actually keep your hair looking that good throughout the day...?

There are like pink, blue, green versions. I've used them all they mostly have a different smell (watermelons or whatever) but it wears off when the gel dries and doesn't really matter. its anywhere from 1 dollar (99cent store ftw) to 5 bucks for a tub of like i dunno 40 oz. It usually lasts me 3-5 months
I'm using that got-2b right now, but I went to CVS the other day and there's ANOTHER LEVEL of it ABOVE that one lol from got-2b. If you play around with it well, you can get a natural, no gloss hold with it, but you have to be good with blowdrying and brushing.

Yup yup and yup. And I just realized today that strong wind screws up my hair anyways but it's not that hard to reshape. It takes about 10 seconds in front of the mirror to fix my hair.

and did your hair stay like that for the rest of the day, even after you restyled it because of the wind?

Usually I just get lazy and let it fall.

Crazy ... for whatever reason I thought I read this topic like a year ago, not just two months ago. Anyway, in the same vein as the waxes, here's a pretty awesome cream that I've used almost exclusively for the past four years:
The hold on this stuff is pretty good, but as infinity noted with waxes, it will drop as time goes by (especially in warmer weather), and you'll have to "fix it." But you can just reshape it with your hands in a few seconds.

I highly doubt you can get your hair to stay up like that whole day. Your hair is too lengthy. I have somewhat spikey hair myself and the way i keep it up is to use the full advantage of the hair drier. You have to shape your hair before you put anything.
Here is my hair EVEN BEFORE placing the wax:
After I applied wax, it stays up like that whole day. Also make sure to spray hairspray where you think it should shine
There are videos you can download from Korean Stylists online. And they basically have how to "fix your hair" for each hair style.
I think for your hair, you shouldnt dry fully and wax while its still wet to fully take the advantage of clumping/wet look.
Also let me try to search VOD for you... not sure if i can still find it, I looked for them when i was in highschool and its been over 5 years ;P
Edit: there are alot actually on youtube. theyre mostly in japanese though

your case is nothing, this is a real mess:

omg almost died.
people actually wash their hair after the wax is finish used, like gel. User don't leave it overnight.. it's yucky (of course, not as much as gel)..
