my hair is very thick, both in density and each individual strand, so it took me a very long time to find something that would keep it up

and for the sprays, i think anything will do. Ive tried several and i think the L'oreal(sp?) Paris Finishing Spray works the best for me since its not as hard as plastic but still keeps its shape.

So, can I come over to your place to watch Heroes tomorrow? ![]() (jk, I'll probably just download it again) By the way, I use "Dep" styling gel, strength 11 ("ultimate hold"). After applying it (to mostly-dry hair), I find holding my hair in place and using a blow-dryer yields the best results. I find the gel to be very effective at keeping my hair in generally the right shape, even for multiple days if necessary. I'd suggest buying a small bottle at first, in case it doesn't work so well for you. I suppose you could even borrow some of mine, if you don't find that weird .lol you can come over and watch it if you help me a bit with my cs assignment first ![]() I'll be relatively free of work this week after my algebra midterm On October 15 2007 11:39 mistapooh wrote: Guys, this guy's hair is pretty long. He's looking for more tousseled(spelling) look, not something hard and spikey. Ever try mousse? You can still lift your hair up and get some volume, or just hold it in place. Yeah I've been a bit selective in taking in advice. Pretty much most gels are a nono for my hairstyle because I'm going for a more 'natural' look (i.e. no glossy/shiny hair). But there's been a lot of helpful advice in this thread ![]() I'm definitely looking into different brands of wax and hair spray. Plus, I'm not planning on getting a haircut for 3-4 weeks. I might get my bangs cut a little bit because they might be too long. I've tried mousse but it's been so long that I can't quite remember how my hair turned out. If I can get my hands on some, I'll try that out. I'm experimenting with a bunch of different products at the moment.

I can't help much with hair, but I thought this deserved a a 'no shit' comment. I was thinking the exact same thing, and my advice was going to be to stop riding the bike against the wind... I sometimes wish I was Asian so I could have a wacky hair-style and not look like a total asshole while having it. I have nearly no advice for you, because I cut my hair short, but I'm wondering what kind of styles there are to get with short hair. Right now I just do the pushing the front up (like all the famous guys are doing right now), except I can't get it to look nearly as good as they do. Basically I want my hair to look like Matt Damon's hair in the Bourne Supremacy, any tips on what kind of product to use? I've been using this recently (don't like it too much): http://shopping.msn.com/specs/shp/?itemId=28803699,amp;fullDesc=1 And this before (was better than the stuff above): http://beautyneeds.com/american_crew_hair_styling.htm (the second one, the one with the green label) Any tips are thanks, sorry for the attempted threadjack, but I don't want to make a new one about the same thing.

I'm probably going to regret saying anything... but I have to ask why people care so much about styling their hair. Normally I just comb it and let it air dry after a shower. The only time gel or spray is put in is directly after my haircut and while I don't notice my hair particularly benefits, it is gross later when I have to wash my hair again before I go to sleep. It might just be because of the type of hair I have? I have very thick hair so I'm not sure if that explains why I don't see the value of hair styling products or not. Then again I'm not one to value form over function. Edit: As evidenced by the fact that I have said nothing for the last 8 posts about receiving a new icon (until now) I think the way some hair are cut (azn hairstyles or Mohawks n etc) are meant to be styled in some way. Also, styling and different hairstyles can express your personality/lifestyle in some way. Like your not going to see a 40 yo uptight businessman with a mohawk. It's either that or your hair just looks gay when it's not gel'd properly,
