An article on how Russian soldiers treat one another. A glimpse into the "russian world". A short summary in English, but the automated translation of the full article looks decent: https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1761130119173988755.html

Very interesting piece about the intel work between Ukraine and mainly CIA in the leadup to the Russian invasion.

First combat deployment of the tank to the front lines was apparently today (or yesterday depending on when the video was taken). There were some videos with a disabled Abrams a few days ago but that was 20km from the front line. Weird how they didnt put any anti-drone cages on it (also still waiting for info about what took it out)

They did, they got a fighter jet gripen deal with sweden before approving The approval probably didn't hurt, but that deal was in the works for longer than the question of Sweden joining NATO or not. This was more Orban overplaying his hand. He thought together with Turkey he could get something out of his Yes but was left standing alone when Erdogan got his F16 deal without bothering to tell Orban. The Gripen story is Orban saving face over his months of useless obstruction.

Turkey had a demand list that we agreed on. Hungary wanted nothing. The negotiations that Turkey did after that was with the US, not Sweden. Turkey had valid reason to distrust Sweden, demands that were fluid enough to argue about (so the process can be stalled) and more importantly they are a large and important member who are much more important than Sweden. Hungary had none of that. Really hard to negotiate with Sweden when you didn't do it in Madrid. And even harder to do it with the US who doesn't really give a shit about you strategically. Rumors started going around about Hungary getting kicked out of NATO last I heard. In the end Orban managed to get one win, a way to save face after Erdogan fucked him diplomatically with a diplomatic visit and a figther jet deal.

Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs has made a pretty strong speech after the Russian Ambassador's presentation before the UN Security Council.

This sounds much more like strategic ambiguity than actual deliberation. I don't see anywhere that France or any other country is seriously considering sending NATO troops to Ukraine.
