I don’t think Palestinians are destined to become terrorists and most of them are not. But they do need better leadership and they need to understand that they are not refugees and they do not have a right of return.
The “Great March of Return”, like the Nakba, is a totally mythologized Palestinian narrative. It was not a peaceful protest by any stretch of the imagination and was yet another instance of Hamas using its own population as human shields.
You continuously imply that Hamas wouldn’t be in power were it not for Netanyahu. I think we both know that’s not true.

These people had a land.
They were driven out of that land and now most of them live in tent towns and depend on charitable donations to live, among other things because there is 2+ million of them in a very small area with (near) 0 economic opportunity before the blockade of Gaza and even less after IDF destroyed or damaged 80+ % of the buildings there.
What are they if not refugees? Why would they not have a right of return to the land that was by all legal definitions stolen from them? How would you feel if Germany annexed a Dutch province, crammed half of its population in a city and refuse to do anything about reversing that in any way? Would you give up returning to your house? Would you not be a refugee?
Of course, you are completely ignoring the figures up top that make your narrative that the march of return was a Hamas military operation, but that is par for the course.
Yes, I do think that based on what Netyanahu, as quoted in the biggest Israeli paper said, and what Israeli policy towards Gaza 2 decades before implies.

I would be interested if anyone can name another part of the world where a bunch of apparent under-18 year-olds with no free will or responsibility for anything, are considered "refugees" (especially considered so by an international organization) of something that took place 80 years prior.

*Started 80 years ago and is ongoing.

Aside from this being an incoherent weird salad, why would anyone need to name anywhere else? We can't name anywhere else that is run by an oompaloompa either, but have opinions about the USA all the same!

There were Jews and Arabs living in Mandate Palestine in 1947. Two peoples. Jews are also indigenous to the land of Israel and had a continuous presence there for 3000 years, but that's a whole other topic. Palestine also never existed as its own country. So your analogy to Germany makes no sense.
When the Arab armies invaded after 1947 after rejecting the UN partition plan, yes, some Arabs were expelled by Jewish militias, some fled of their own accord, and some were told to flee by the Arab armies that invaded. This idea that they were just "driven off the land" is barely a half-truth considering it was Arab leadership that decided to invade in 1948 and then again in 1967 and 1973. Of course, this is the modern-day Nakba narrative that continuously gets propagated, as if the Israelis were some mighty empire in 1948 that just threw out the poor Palestinians. No, it was horrendously awful decision making and the refusal to compromise by Arab leadership that led to displacement.
No other population in the world inherits refugee status from generation to generation. Only the Palestinians. They need their own state in Gaza and the West Bank, but they have to accept that Israel will exist as a Jewish state and they don't have a right to return. As long as they continue to reject that there won't be meaningful progress toward peace.
I don't dispute the figures you cited on the Great March of Return I dispute the idea that it was a non-violent protest instead of a violent propaganda march organized by jihadists.
You can continue to claim that Hamas wouldn't be in power if not for Netanyahu, but the data and polling of Palestinian views doesn't support it.

No, it was horrendously awful decision making and the refusal to compromise by Arab leadership that led to displacement. They followed up the awful decisions you mentioned with two intifadas, terror infiltration and kidnapping attacks within Israel, rocket attacks, and October 7th. Basically, Arab leadership started bad and has only gotten worse in over a century of violence.

As long as they continue to reject that there won't be meaningful progress toward peace. They need elected governance and a generational turn away from terrorism, starting in the education of the young and likely a gulf-state-directed program of de-radicalization. I don't see statehood until there's some societal switch. Everybody with a brain will believe that the privileges of a state will simply be harnessed to terroristic ends until something more foundational changes.
The region's only Democracy goes to vote now. The Palestinian Authority, Abbas, has been promising to hold elections forever. He's in his 22nd year of a 4-year term. Hamas doesn't hold elections. Israel holds elections, and Arab Israelis are having a record turnout.

This is not the Nakba not happening. This is the Nakba happening and you saying that it's their fault.

Netanyahu block went from 68 - 52 not enough for majority and he has stated he won’t work with the Arab parties who had their biggest wins ever , combined 19 seats. The main opposition also not enough for a majority at 49. If they want to govern they will have to work with the Arab parties.
Interesting to see where this goes.
