But can we start a poll and bring this back into consideration? Or at least go with TLnet.biz?

Damn, so true.
Edit: you guys should’ve went with EQUIPO LIQUIDO

Oh 😔 Will miss it, but it is understandable
Also I just assume that all child urls linking to forum posts, op's, threads, etc will be compatibile and continue to work/redirect to the correct urls right?

I support this.
I remember a few months back when the branding/art director for Team Liquid Pro tweeted that there was none of the light blue in the branding color scheme for the pro team for a while now and he was peeved that other orgs still used the light blue when referencing Team Liquid pro, and I thought to myself, well that must be because of the community site branding conflating with the early days of Team Liquid pro branding.

Of course, this is also a question about resources available, but TL sure could use a facelift imo. TLnet was built off of the backs of many separate volunteer coders over the years. This was great during our growth period but now the website is built on a mixture of various peoples code, held to no unifying standing, and in many cases uses dated technology. Upgrading TLnet visually first requires us to solve this problem, and that problem requires a lengthy solution that we haven't had time to address. So a visual update is not ruled out but it won't be happening this year. Not gonna lie, I’d nerd out pretty hard knowing more about the Frankenstein monster that is this site ![](/mirror/smilies/puh2.gif) Some of us coders could go on and on about this...

So did you guys buy "TL.net" for at least $25,000?
........
That's a bit much don't you think?
TL is just different, and it makes me sad after having visited this site for more than 10 years
|
It will be nice not to have to type out the whole name when I go to the website.
|
Nothing lasts forever. Sad news but life goes on
|
I’m going to resist the urge to register APM.Zone and 2baseallin.Zone and redirect them to TLnet in celebration.
Change is fun, even if I will still type in teamliquid for at least 5 more years before catch on.

Just to make sure I understand:
- "teamliquid.net" the forum community will temporarily redirect to TL.net, which will eventually become the new home for the forum community. - teamliquid.com (and future teamliquid.net redirect) will be the new home of the pro site, teamliquidpro.com - The pro teams will continue to be called Liquid (or Team Liquid). - "TLnet" will functionally behave as an independent community site, entirely separate from the events of the pro team (essentially severing any connection between this community and the pro organization).
Is that right?

TL.net makes a lot of sense and congrats on securing the domain.

Is that right? The first three are correct, the last one I don't agree with. While there has been some overlap in the past, the site and pro team have always been divisions of the same company. This naming change doesn't change anything for us other than the URL.

oh the change is kind of weird. but congrats on growing this brand into the behemoth that it is today!
