That's fair. Talking about a Democratic Texas candidate who IS going to lose regardless might not be an interesting topic, but it speaks volumes about the candidate. I don't think people really see it any differently than GH, it's just that discussing that specific topic, rather than the candidate, feels exhausted for the time being.

While I'm aware neither lives in the state where they could put their vote where their mouth is, I think it's again signifying why we can't have nice things.

Also, FCC rules on equal-time have been around for decades, so Jimmy Kimmel or whoever only needs to bring on the opposing candidate to not run afoul of existing rules. When SNL brought Trump on to host, NBC was forced to give opposing candidates equal airtime. That’s literally over 10 years ago.

Republican declines the invitation, now it appears "one sided" to people who didn't know that and the FCC can openly threaten them. I guess all the free speech warriors here are stumped by this one simple loophole.

You really want to compare Paxton?

Paxton was impeached by the republican controlled Texas house in 2023 over covert and corruption, senate republicansa did acquit him, but also he has payed restitution in securities fraud indictments.

Obviously Republics don’t care about family values, but he also has an infidelity scandal, public divorce.

Stole a 1000 dollar pen on camera.

Republicans are calling him a lazy campaigner.

And that’s before we get into all the concerns about his lack of policy and platform. But I mean, he is a “firebrand MAGA who is very loyal to Trump”. So perfect for you, but hopefully not Texans with critical thinking.

There has only been $450 million proved to be fraud in Minnesota, but you'll see a $9 Billion number thrown around because its big number.
