And I can't help but lol at the notion of a giant reality denial vortex surrounding Trumps attempts to subvert the democratic process when there factually was an attempt made to override the legitimate democratic process, and that because the failed they first time we shouldn't worry about them having another go at it. | ||

Trump would definitely respect the result if he loses this November, and would certainly leave peaceably in 2029 if he won. His track record wouldn't let you think otherwise. | ||

He is also easily bored by the job of president, so he will bring in the absurd fascist "Project 2025" people as long as he can get rid of the lawsuits - and avoid paying taxes. Jan6 weirdos storming the capitol is the sort of "helpless idiot" picture which takes all the seriousness out of what they attempted by ther obvious incompetence - (Still they got people killed that day). Basicly the world was watching misbehaved kids..and waited for the adults to arrive and end this farce. Would have Trump taken that that the mob had reached Mike Pence and sent him to the gallows? Yes absolutely. He'd still deny to have led on the mob, but he would have taken his sweet time to not hand over the WH. I just don't Like that fake MSNBC gravitas as if the Magats were even remotely smart or organized enough for a coup. This just hurts their credibility. I also don't want to overblow his excat wording at the moment, since I don't grant him the mental capacity of planning ahead, or the ability to follow a plan. His political appeal is 100% insulting people his voters don't like. His brain is rotating through the "Professional Salesmen guide -1983". - Make inconviniences look either trivial or a one time event (You only need to do it once!... - Make the Client feel he'll join the winning team if he chooses your product over the competetion (You don't even need to vote!.. we got so many votes!) ... In that case the shennanigans of Jan 6th will not happen again because i'm confident the US government is able to deal with a situation like that IF it wants to, unlike 2021. It's quite realistic the orange man will not be around in 2029. He's old, unhealthy and in mental decline. Not looking forward to the conspiracy bullshit around that event when it happens, but it is inevitable and will happen sooner than later. | ||

Can she gain enough momentum to swing Pennsylvania too? I cannot fathom how this insane voting system has survived for so long. Any kind of campaigning in a large majority of the states is just about useless, for either party. Just focus everything on winning a small number of swing states, and you win. It's been interesting to see polls of Harris vs. Trump, and how she's been energizing her base and gaining ground, but I only expect it to look more in her favor once she announces her running mate. We've been evaluating her in a vacuum, but running with someone like Shapiro will make for a rounded ticket with lots to support for a lot of different voters. It will also bring into stark relief just how much Vance fucking sucks, since contrast between the two VP picks will be inevitable. | ||

I don't think many people know much about him, but being pro-police and anti-corporate taxes sounds about right for Democrats. Shapiro specifically is proposing to slash the state's nearly 10% corporate tax rate to 4% by 2025. www.foxnews.comTo bolster public safety, Shapiro is pledging to boost funding for law enforcement and add more than 2,000 police officers across Pennsylvania.
