Some people think the Texas AG submitted it to try to get a Pardon for another case hes under investigation in. Its shameful that the other states signed on.

Trumps base is fanatic for him and anyone who wouldn't sign it in an area where he is hugely popular would lose next election while the ones that dont sign are in somewhat competitive districts where signing it would actually hurt them.

I think if in a couple of years we were to ask every single person that voted Trump in this election who they voted for, the amount of truthful answers would be a lot closer to half than 100%. The focus of the information they consume will have changed so drastically in that time that how far they went to bat for him will be just a vaguely embarrassing memory.

Need to get that fix in before he’s in jail right? Depends on who you ask. The Texas GOP's next step is to unsubtly hint at secession. Perhaps law-abiding states should bond together and form a Union of states that will abide by the constitution.

So... the states that have accepted and certified that Biden won the presidency should bond together and form a new union. Bold plan. Maybe they'll have space for their white ethnostate afterward.

Need to get that fix in before he’s in jail right? Speaking of executing people, he apparently told the head of the FDA to either approve the first covid vaccine or else resign. Just what we need, giving people reason to not trust the vaccine vetting process.

The only reason they wanted to hear it is because they believe that SCOTUS is obligated to hear all cases between states, not because they felt the case had any actual merit.

It’s sad, but I’ve seen quite a few right friends basically state this. And my only question to them is, you would kill me for thinking differently? Then the goal post moves, “no you’re not like them, you’re smarter than that”.

It was news to me that this was still rumbling on, been a bit of a hermit lately. Fucking hell. But hey Trump’s reign is just a few mean tweets and has no wider destructive impact on the political fabric right?

I remember conservatives in this thread claiming Trump and his allies wouldn't put up such a fight if he lost. He'd just move on and that would be that. I can'y believe how naive us on the left were to believe Trump would desperately try to cling to power! /s
