According to Cohen, Sater had his office in Trump tower, on the same floor as him (later became Cohen's office), and was a senior advisor to Trump. He speculates records of that should be kept offsite in the Trump Org archives.

Krishnamoorthi asks if there is any other wrongdoing or illegality by Trump that Cohen is aware of: “Yes and again those are part of the investigation that’s currently being looked at by the Southern District of New York.” That's probably the most interesting part so far, Trump is being investigated for state crimes. It's just an investigation right now though, so until the Mueller report gets published we probably won't know more.

i’m surprised cohen didn’t put that together. unless Amash actually intends to ask meaningful questions, which seems to be the case. i will withhold judgement then. yep, i was mistaken. a very sensible line of questioning from a republican. bravo.

He went on a rant for 2 minutes that Cohen improperly filled a document that asked to disclose (according to him) all contract with foreign entities, in which Cohen did not disclose 4 contracts. Cohen corrected that it required only to disclose contracts with foreign government entities. Meadows insisted and shouted that it was written right on the paper "non government entities" and asked Cohen if he had to read it out loud, in a "gotcha" moment. 5 minutes later, another congresswoman (Hill) confirmed that the document in question in fact mentioned only foreign government-owned entities... This is so lame. Amash actually had some questions, and even a near praise for Cohen at the end. Surprising from a Republican seeing how the rest are behaving.

Seems like he did, but it would be really stupid if it was against the rules

The chance that any intelligence dossier would be 100% correct is very low in any case... "There are around 100 audio tapes, right, would you make them available to this committee ?" "Yes, if you really like them" (muffled laughs)

He said he never defaulted on any loan, has never been bankrupted and repaid everything, not owing a dollar to a bank right now. So on this side at least, he looks clear. I am not familiar with the other crimes. Kelly Armstrong has a good point, he asked if those 100 tapes Cohen referenced had conversations with other clients covered by attorney client privilege, Cohen said yes. He was ready to turn those over instantly, even while the clients have not waived that privilege.

"Trump does not use sms or mail, there is no tape." "So there isn't any proof that these checks are from the repayment of the hush money ?" "Well, apart from the fact Giuliani publicly said that the president repaid me for that, not really." Oops. Thank you M. Giuliani !

He even went and complained about the public debt amassing as they sit there. Like bro you only increased the debt last two ears. Is there even one of them interested in actual oversight?

Well, they are nearly all (including democrats) hypocrits when it is covering their party/president/interests... You shouldn't be surprised. Politics... One of the reps had the gall to say they could use this time to improve the crumbling infrastructure of the US. What have they done these last 2 years ? :-D

There’s some both sides truth to that, but beyond glittering generalities, it’s pretty clear that folks like Jim Jordan don’t really care about government working because they hold themselves out as folks who think government doesn’t work. Democrats have their own issues, but that is not one of them.
