If you're looking for some sort of solution it's quite easy. Just say something along the lines of: Look [ insert name ], the other night when I was trying to spend some quality time with Michelle you totally fucked it up for me. I understand that you play WoW and that it's a serious thing for you but its gone too far. You play it all the time when I'm trying to sleep/study and I don't say anything. You play it when I bring a girl over and I don't say anything. You also lied to me saying you REALLY needed to use the computer for only a little bit. A little bit is not 5 hours dude. All I'm asking is to lower your voice when I'm trying to do shit [ sleep/study ] or be a little more considerate. It was pretty lame that you left the light on and didn't shut the door, come on that's common manners....Do you get where I'm coming from? And then make it your own prerogative to make sure you tell him that you need some quiet or privacy time IN ADVANCE. There's your solution. If he doesn't respond in a positive manner then the final choice you have is to move out. There is no way you can continue to be a successful student in your environment. Forget student, you won't be able to be your own man. | ||

1. Music. You can get music, you can play it loud, he cant use teamspeak. Just put some ear plug and play the brown noise (use cartman method to find it). 2. No thread on teamliquid, buuuuut an invitation to everyone from this forum to come there, fill your room of friends, so he cant fit there anymore. Id use solution one. Music not in the taste of someone can really drive crazy. He will eventually come to you and complain about your music and then it will be easy for you to bring up the issue. Seriously if he dares to complain about the music, go bersek "I HAVENT FUCKING SAID ONE THING ABOUT YOU BOTHERING ME 24/7 WITH YOUR WOW PLAYING WHILE IM TRYING TO HAVE SOME PRIVATE TIME WITH MY GIRLFRIEND AND YOU DARE TO COMPLAIN. When I used to live just me and my roommate (two story place but the two floors are connected so no privacy) if he was sleeping and had to wake up for work in two hours and I had a girl all I would have to do was call him, tell him to wake up, buy a few beers and rubbers for me at the mart, and get the fuck out of the house into a hotel before I got home...and he would do it without question or bad feelings (so long as his "success?" text message few hours later was answered affirmatively, if not his noble sacrifice would have been a waste)...sometimes he'd even just drudge into work 2 hours early on only 3 hours of sleep. Another time, he 18'd a girl on my bed while I was gone and admitted to it the next day. I harbored no ill will and went about cleaning my sheets happily. Thats what friends are for. | ||

Okay, so, he plays WoW - a lot. Use it against him ! Find out which server he plays on, make a level 1 female character on the server and start sweet talking him (but do so without getting caught obviously). After he "falls in love" with your in-game female persona, (god knows they all do!) you ditch him in game and tell him the truth, that you're indeed a man! Afterwards you post all screenshots, logs and pictures you've collected on any random site (and post a link here for the rest of us), this way you'll shatter his world, turn him away from WoW, AND get to mock him immensly. If you tell us beforehand, and plan it all thoroughly - I guarantee we won't (or I won't atleast) label you as a zia, and the end results of this would be beyond hilarious for all of us ! | ||

Anyone can make those observations, i.e. myself as a director. It does sound like he has many problems of his own. A major/degree in psych means shit. Get your doctorate and then we'll talk.
