I understand that you play WoW and that it's a serious thing for you but its gone too far. You play it all the time when I'm trying to sleep/study and I don't say anything. You play it when I bring a girl over and I don't say anything. You also lied to me saying you REALLY needed to use the computer for only a little bit. A little bit is not 5 hours dude. All I'm asking is to lower your voice when I'm trying to do shit [ sleep/study ] or be a little more considerate. It was pretty lame that you left the light on and didn't shut the door, come on that's common manners....Do you get where I'm coming from? perfect. btw, im eagerly awaiting GI's follow-up  | ||

A lot of people are making you into the enemy here saying things like 'grow some balls' or 'wow you totally brought that on yourself' and a couple of them might be justified in saying it but most of them should stfu. I know how annoying it is to live with people who are total assholes, it isn't always easy to train them. The advice of most of the annoying people today is basically not wrong in principle, they are just being dicks about it. Then again talking about it here opens yourself up for those kinds of comments so I hope you expected it. If someone hasn't already suggested it, lay ground rules about when people can and cannot be quiet. If he refuses, consult the policies regarding your living arrangements. The idea of having to threaten him with housing policies crap is probably not appealing, but it will probably beat the current situation you are in. I for one would put the fear of god into him if he tried to pull that shit on me, and that kind of stuff is the reason why I've been in a single ever since the end of freshman year | ||

i can see why you're pissed off about your date being ruined, and the teamspeak, etc., but he does have a right to be in that room too. so if you want him to leave, you have to ask him as a favour to you. yeah, he's clearly being somewhat inconsiderate with the teamspeak/sound, but he probably doesn't know how much grief it's causing you. talk to him about it instead of stewing and breeding this hate. give the guy a bit of a chance. i don't respect WoW obsession much either, but your life will be a lot easier and more pleasant if you open up a bit. you don't have to make some big confrontation about it... just start saying things like "hey, would you mind using your headphones instead of the speakers? it'd help me study if it was a little quieter." plus you need to establish a basic relationship before you can ask for favours like leaving the room when you're with a girl. | ||

The girl wasn't his girlfriend. I doubt they've even kissed yet. If he said something like "dude, I'm with a girl," he would probably make the girl uncomfortable. I bet they're "friends" and he wants to take it farther, but can't say anything which would make it seem like a date (by the way, great date movie GI!!) because like I said, that would put pressure on the girl.
