Keep the discussion ON TOPIC. This thread is for discussing the terror attacks in Paris. |

Gathering information is the first priority imo.
Edit: this was more a reaction on the discussion of last page, nvm. I am with you. We all know who the most likely actors are. But leave the speculation until creditable information is released, not tabloid non-sense and garbage from social media.

I need to live this shit city fast and go live in the mountain. Wow, how could they pull of something this coordinated on such a large scale after the CH attacks without the police finding out... scary times. these things are rarely an intelligence failure (these ppl are all known, trouble is there are too many of them, and police/intel agencies are limited in whatthey can do)

There may still be shootings in the place of republic. Not ruling out muslim terrorist, but Allahu Akbar is not restricted to terrorists, it's used the same way we say "oh my god". Again: i agree it looks alot like "the usual culprit", but since we literally now nothing, that prejudice is quite disturbing. the real disturbing thing is that people are getting shot in the streets of Paris. People jumping to a conclusion based on their own personal opinion about recent world events isn't that bad. Let's be honest. Seriously at this point it is pure stupidity. A guy said "it's for syria" and then shot. Stop blinding yourself and accept facts... Who do you think did it ? Eye witnesses testimony is considered one of the more unreliable forms of evidence and the attack is ongoing. Saying that people are jumping to conclusions without all the facts is 100% accurate. As we get more detailed information about what's going on, we'll all be making better conclusions. In any event the speculation of people halfway around the world is hardly going to affect the situation or something.
But throwing your hands up in the air and acting like this is so unfathomable that you can't imagine what kind of extremists would ever be doing this in France doesn't strike me as realistic. I went to Google "terror attack in France" and my address bar had seen me do that before and brought it up as a suggestion before I finished typing. It's not some kind of prejudice against Islamic extremism that people recall recent events. If you had to wager on the matter, I don't think it would take you long.
The idea of hundreds of hostages in a theater is a real powder keg.

france is the country in europe with the most soldiers operating around the worlds
we should just get them here because now paris and the banlieue is an official warzone, what we are seeing here is something i just saw in some random footage of third world country

That's all I wanted to say... I think the people getting the short straw are the people that get killed. Agreed. But if it turns out to be Islamic extremists, there will be a fare share of totally innocent Muslims that get a helping of undeserved hate. Which is what the Islamic extremists want, tbh.

That is blood curdling. I don't even know what to say.

You know nothing about what Islamic extremists want, so "don't speculate" Wiki boy.
This is just depressing what is happening there, holy shit

To all the French people on TL... stay safe

Coordinated attacks are so damn hard to contain this makes my blood boil

Wait, that can't be right though. If they're executing people now as the twitter says, why aren't they storming?

People need to get the fuck home if it's still happening there might be more...

To be honest in Paris nobody gives a shit that you're Muslim and that won't change. In the countryside though, things might get harder for Muslims but it can't be helped really.

just awful hopefully this can all be dealt with with as few deaths as possible
