So, I've been drinking Jagermeister and I want to ask a question. Actually, multiple questions.
Is it just me or is the inebriation of Jagermeister accentuated because it's an herbal alcohol? For instance, I drink so much they call it alcoholism LZOLZZOLZ no but I can drink a bottle of 40% bourbon and only be a little drunk not smashed. But, when I drink some Jager I really feel inebriated. So, my question is whether or not people who have had it feel that because it's an herbal liquor that it is more potent than bourbon, vodka etc...

I wouldn't drink either of them separately, but I think they mix very well together. It's my dad's favorite drink, so I've had it a ton.
The whole idea of taste is subjective, though, so I don't know how I can really explain it to you.

There's TONS of rumors about the herbal ingredients in jager. I've heard that they're mild hallucinagenic herbs and I've even heard people say jager has deer blood in it. The other possibility is you're getting an additional buzz from the red bull which is loaded with caffiene and a bunch of herbal stimulants like Taurine, Guarana, Quinine, etc.

i like to drink apple juice, lemonade, water, gatorade, powerade, sunnyd, orange juice, milk, chocolate milk, fruit punch, and my favorite: sugary milk left in the bowl after you eat all the cinnamon toast crunch (yum tastey)

I fucking hate cheap vodka like Taaca or Mcormics (I'm a rum man myself). Grey Goose/Absolut are great vodkas but are very overpriced. So my solution to this problem?...
I've found that if you filter Mcormics (or any cheap ass vodka) a few times, the quality improves almost to that of a decently priced vodka.

Bacardi Razz (Rasberry Rum)

Okay, I've decided to do a list of cheap drinks and also suggest one or two real drinks.
Vodka + any lime juice/flavor
Rye Whiskey + Ginger ale
Rye Whiskey + carbonated raspberry flavored water (can't remember how i discovered this.)
Well, rum/vodka pretty well taste fine in anything
gin + juices
yeah enough of that we all know crap drinks, but a decent drink is a manhattan. I've been experimenting a bit with it but since im poor its going slowly. Rye whiskey 2 parts, martini & rossi vermouth 1 part, dash of bitters. shake it up and try different ratios, brands and bitters.

I generally drink beer because it's easier to control. I have this bad habit with mixed drinks of consuming much more than I initially intended. As the alcohol nips away at my taste buds, my drinks progressively get stronger. Basically to combat that, whenever I drink mixed drinks I force myself to keep a shot glass next to the bottle so I can measure out a reasonable level of liquor (2 shots usually) per drink. With beer, as I fill up on it I naturally cut myself off before I get to a ridiculous level of intoxication.
With that said, my favorite type of beer is a HefeWeizen. I've had them from most popular beer places in the world and honestly, the german ones blow everybody else away. Unfortunately due to the importation price, I don't get to drink these very often unless I'm at a restaurant or bar that happens to carry it.
When drinking hard liquor, I will usually either drink vodka mixes or scotch on the rocks. Scotch, unfortunately, is an expensive preference so I rarely get to drink the really good stuff. I generally limit myself to about $30-35 a bottle to keep expenses down. Sure it isn't the best quality scotch in the world, but it is quality enough that you can enjoy it. Something along the line of a Johnny Black is right around my price range.
For vodka, typically any sort of vodka and juice mix generally tastes good. Vodka and Lemonade mix well together and so does Vodka and Hawaiian Punch or Kool-Aid. Of course you also have your fruit juices that also mix well with it. If I'm not in a "juice" mood or I need some carbonation, I'll do a vodka/sprite mix.
I will drink other liquors (gin and tonics / rum and cokes, kahlua/brandy and coffee, etc) but they aren't really my preference and rarely drink it when the choice is mine.

however, i do know of a mixture that i can share with everyone:
Step 1: Get an empty bottle of some sort(powerade bottle is best)
Step 2: Pour about 4-5 shots of clear vodka in
Step 3: Pour a whole can of your favorite soda in
Step 4: Add a whole packet of kool-aide. Make sure flavor matches that of the soda or else it will be gross
Step 5: Shake well before enjoying
Best flavors to do this with is cherry or grape

Then I tried Aftershock, I loved that for about a week and didn't like it after that.
I tried GoldSchalger (SP?) It was better than Aftershock, but burnt out pretty quick.
I'm just bonging beers now, its cheap and hits nice.

I do not drink often, sometimes when I go out, or on special occasions.
I prefer any kind of hard liquor (except chocolate or coffee liquor) over anything. I do not like a wine because my head hurts if I drink too much of that shit, and I hate when my head hurts. I do not like to drink large quantity of beer, because I HATE that nasty smell in my mouth.
When I go out I drink any kind of hard liquor + cola combo, or juice-vodka combo, jager-cola being my favorite. I also like "straight" hard liquor (no combo) cherry brandy is my favorite here.
When my friends come to my place, or sometimes when I play computer games I like to drink beer, because I know I will only have 3-4 (I prefer Heineken).

Worst i've ever been: last day of first semester jr year, there was a local bar that was a mainstaple on campus for 30 years, and it was closing down, last day it was open to students. my friend joe and i had 4 shots of popov before leaving (never again.....fucking popov) then went to the bar, which had a $5 cover (They had an amazing live band) and then $1 beers (natty light ftw). Needless to say, I woke up in the morning missing $20, a huge cut on my forehead, still wearing my clothes, with a huge puddle of water (actually water, not piss) on my floor, and found myself asking one quesiton to my roommate: what the fuck happened?

a nice (dutch) gin to accompany your beer is fine, and most liquors have their moments but i cant say i'd drink it any day, any time (which is the case with beer).

Funny story is one time I went downtown to meet this bitch and some old friends at like 6 pm in the summer. I didn't have much cash so I didn't get very drunk. The bitch got really hammered and was sluttin around all over I was gettin pretty upset (probably because I wasn't having as much fun as she was). Then when I was finally leaving a few hours later I see a lot of my good friends that I hadn't seen in a while going into another bar. I went back in the bar with them they started buying me drinks and I saw a drink some bitch ordered on the counter and I swiped it.
About 1:30 am (last call is 2) I staggered out of the bar and remembered that I drove my Mom's van and parked in front of the Police Station. I went in the Van and started blasting some music and I must've passed out in the back with it on. I woke up in the morning (6:30 am) and my keys were missing and I was still pretty drunk. I was totally pissed off and after searching the car for like 10 minutes I locked it and got out to walk home. Then I saw the keys on the hood of the car!
Holy shit someone must've saw me passed out and put them outside my car so I wouldn't get woken up to a DUI. Went home, ate a donut, and passed out.
