Shoes that have some sort of device underneath so you can kick doors, but instead of breaking them, the door "reads" your shoes and know its you and unlocks.

The end of the world can be predicted, the creation of our world can be found, we can understand nearly all of the questions that life has left us unanswered without ever leaving our rooms, we can travel through time, we can essentially understand everything by finding an equation for every single living person to figure out what they would do in any situation presented in front of them.
I believe this hypothesis is valid for the reason that I have no reason to believe human beings are special, if I can predict how a ball will roll across the ground, I should be able to predict how someone will react if I punch them in the face, though, the equation is going to be very complex there is most definitely one to achieve the answer that I am looking for.
To say that I am looking for an equation where I will know how Johnny Walker will react to being hit in the face is completely wrong, however, I am moreso looking at the idea of an equation that would set the path of your life, from your first action to your last. I’m not sure at this point how the equation would have to work to accomplish this, I would hypothesize that the answer to how you reacted would be iterated back into the formula somehow, but the exact details are unimportant to me. In this hypothesis I am forced to assume it is possible to create this complex equation merely because I see no reason not to believe it, if I can predict other things it is my belief then I can predict human behaviors.
If I could somehow possess this wonderful tool, I could work the equations backwards or forwards through every generation(time travel). I would essentially possess the ability to know when anything would happen. What a scary idea...
In conclusion: My hypothesis is that it is possible to create an equation that will lay out the path of any man's life and if this is possible, free will is nonexistent and life isn't quite as magical as one might expect.
This is nothing new, it's been hypothesized by every materialist.
EDIT: The going back in time thing will never work though, since life isn't one big equation, it's a bunch of equations all working at the same time(pysics). Even if it were one, it would probably be an equation with no inverse(i.e. possibly not a function).

Classic determinism by way of natural law, an interesting argument that I held in high regard until I developed my understanding of physics better. Our current model of quantum mechanics is fundamentally probabilistic due to the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle and further supported by the Bell experiments done decades later. Of course it is still an interesting idea and our laws of physics are incomplete, but according to our current understanding of physics it is simply wrong until proven otherwise. Discussing it heuristically is still entertaining though as I often do it myself. I think there may be a few ways for determinism to escape it's fate in this specific regard, one could also always come to determinism through other arguments as well. But again, it seems that Einstein may have been wrong and God does play dice!

I was thinking that we cross breed people with plants. Or, like at least engineer people so that you have chlorophyll in your skin all over. So yeah, you're green, but instead of eating you can drink a little water and go stand in the sun. Also you wouldn't have to breath as much, and would seep out oxygen.

nothing deep but things i thought about in the last two days...
airline security "express lane". if you have no baggage (just things in your pockets), you get a separate lane. sick of waiting for people to take out their laptops, etc etc etc.
also on the same topic, airlines should let everyone who has nothing in the overhead bin to leave first. the deplaning only takes so fucking long cause everyone has to wait for everyone else to get their shit out of the bins. sux.
today a co-worker and i decided to invent an anti-pain ray burqa. the stupid fucking military has developed a "non-lethal" weapon which uses microwaves to make you feel like you're going to burst into flames. it's ostensibly to provide a non-lethal alternative to guns, but i think it's going to be used for lots of more sadistic purposes. anyway, since i KNOW they'll be sending it to iraq asap, i figured we should start selling anti-pain ray burqas.
they'd be made of metal mesh to stop the microwaves...and they'd be fashionable too! plus i think it's funny the military's new multi-million dollar weapon can be foiled by a big sheet of aluminum foil. i could be wrong, as i don't know the details of the weapon, but if it's just a microwave generator, then a metal mesh should work.

I would also like detachable and regenerative body parts. I want to create a rope with a 100 of my arms and swing around buildings around with it. I would remove my head, create a new body, create a new me, and I would mitotically reproduce myself. I would also like to stretch my penis out a 100 meters, shoot it around like a firehouse to unsuspecting victims. I could also probably create stilts with my legs, walk around everyone and scaring the shit out of dogs.
