Basically, you purchase a judge's pass and have a list of all the coffee shops that are participating, along with a map and spaces for notes for each strain you try. Each coffee shop has one or two strains entered in the competition, so in order for you to try each strain, you have to go to about 12 coffee shops a day. This is way more than you'd think, especially when you're just trying to relax and keep a clear head in order to get your thoughts down on paper. My friends did about 10 the first two days, and then did maybe 5 each day after that and ended each day at one of their favorite coffee shops. There is no minimum or maximum amount that you have to try in order to judge, but you should definitely keep a running tally of your top 5 (or at least top 3, which you will be required to submit at the end). There also lots of events listed that you should be attending (and some not listed to avoid police detection, ie. smoking the worlds largest joint, etc., so make friends and keep your ears open for those). A couple of tips: 1. Work on your tolerance before you go. Cannot stress this enough for the casual smoker 2. If you are going with a bunch of people, it may be a good idea to rent a piece. There are RooR shops where you are able to rent one for a pretty cheap price for the week or however long you are staying. This is especially worth it if you plan on buying one at the end of your trip because they will subtract what you paid for the rental against what you purchase! It really works out in your favor and, as someone who enjoys good buds, it is recommended that you are smoking out of glass instead of paper in order to taste the differences between each one. Just don't overdo it. 3. If you are semi-coherent when you are high, I would rent a bike. It makes getting around much faster and helps you save time in a crowded schedule of events. only got it from 65 dollars on craiglist. it came fully with everything. The guy only used it once. I just use it. Wow i gotta say i love the bag idea way better than box vaporizer. After you fill the bags you can just leave it there and smoke whenever you want lol. Btw for those of you guys that smoke with vaporizer, what is the best temperature you prefer? i dont want to burn my weed or get bad taste though. | ||
