I can say I was fooled 100%... mostly because I figured Eri had met 'her', and Eri is like, the most trustworthy person on this site so I never questioned it (and I still consider Eri to be completely trustworthy, I definitely understand the rationale behind what he did). All-in-all, I'm actually impressed with how long Zia kept it up... I mean, jesus... how many years are we talking about? I mean, I'll admit, years ago when I was like 17 or so for about a week or two I'd used a chick's name on B.net just to see what kind've reactions I'd get, but it got stupid pretty quick. As Saro said in what Naz quoted, this is more than just 'a simple joke'; pretending to be somebody you're not for several years indicates something else. Anyways, I really see no harm done by it (save for the Leg thread, you shouldn't fuck with people on serious issues like that... does anyone know if Zia really broke his leg, or was that just for attention?), so as far as I'm concerned, it was a well-played ruse. Which of course makes me think of how guys in general act towards females - which is understandable, except we tend to act the same way online as we would in real life; ie, giving them much more attention. Like the whole broken leg thing, honestly, with the exception of perhaps the mods, who else would have gotten THAT much attention/replies? I would like to think that anyone here would, but in the back of my head, I know that's not true, simply because Zia was a girl, and even though it makes no difference to us because this is someone we'll meet, this is just our natural protective male emotions playing through. Fortunately, the Zia character was just out for attention, as I believe honestly, money would have been donated... that's how serious it can get. Something like this just makes me more happy that I'm 100% secure in who I am to be completely honest, even to anonymous strangers on the internet who I'll probably never meet. Oh and, for some reason when I read this thread, I thought about this picture (look at Drone in the lower left). ^_^ | ||

Zia Robyn Holopainen Jutzi Hentasi Liimiatainen was born on July 24, 1985, (the same day as porn star Teagan Presley) to a crackhead mother and a father that was a drunk. She also used her stay in Finland to meet up with her long lost half-brother Jani Liimiatainen, guitarist for Sonata Arctica. Her two best friends in Finland were Alice and Bjorn. Alice was also multi-talented, being a foot model and an Opera singer. Zia became an Opera singer and toured the continents with her troupe. She sang "eeeeeeeeeverywhere." She took time out to enjoy life, go to a bunch of shows, learn how to surf, tone her body with exercise, etc. Zia worked as a foot model, and took pride in the exceptional care she gave to her feet. Zia was an avid body builder, working out at the gym for 3 hour sessions, 3+ times a week. It was at a gym in Finland that she met porn star Sylvia Saint. Zia is in medical history for dying for 2 seconds from an unknown illness that stopped her heart and shut down her nervous system. During Sonata Arctica's tour of the United States, the band stayed at Zia's house for one night before their show in Atlanta. Zia defeated lead singer Tony Kakko in arm wrestling multiple times. Zia took Jani into her bedroom and cried on his shoulder for a considerable amount of time. There, Jani told her that during the tour "he has ignored every single female offer and never invited anyone backstage the entire tour because ... he was waiting for me" Zia elaborates, "apparantly, he didn't touch a single girl throughout the tour just so he could get me in bed when he came over" On May 1, Zia traded in her wheel chair for crutches, and returned to normalcy. During the Summer, Zia worked at The Rush gym. Zia was a triple major in Psychology, Sociology, and Journalism, with a minor in Music Zia has maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout her entire academic career, never acheiving less than an A in a course. Zia was born with an unusually low white blood cell count that causes her to spend 6 months out of the year in and out of sickness. Zia's favorite color was Ceraline. Zia owned three cars. Zia rarely slept more than 4 hours in one night. Zia does not smoke or drink. Zia is an extremely proficient guitarist. Zia owned a 130kg dog named Cerberus. And a siberian husky named Athena that showed up on her doorstep in Finland. Zia receives free comcast because her neighbor is a comcast executive whose son is attracted to her. Hell, I had Zia in like my top 8, and I read all the stuff she's done, and I'm like "Holy fuck she's done a lot more than I probably ever will! Is that even possible, how has she funded all these endeavors, etc.", but it never crossed my mind that it was untrue. I bought it 100%.  | ||

anyways, amazingly, this is not the longest period of time ive known of a boy acting like a girl on a forum on another forum i used to post at, rstefan01.com, a guy acted like a girl for about 2.5 years(i dunno maybe zia was close to that) a guy on the forums "fell in love" with her and things got ugly/hilarious | ||
