[Q] mouse acceleration

mouse accelerration makes a mouse move further when moving at faster speed in the same distance. now I have a logitech optical mouse, win xp sp1 (my win xp is cracked so I didnt upgrade it). I used CPL mouse fix (a search on google shows other people do it the same way as cpl mouse fix- fixing the registry) , logitech mouseware 9.79 at "no accel" "max-out speed 11/11" and "disable acceleration in games", but when i move my mouse from the left side of my screen to near right side at a higher speed, then move back at a slower speed, it stops before it reaches the left side, and the slower I move my mouse back, the less distance it moves back, so my definition I think the mouse accel is still on, but I did this mouse fix and reboot several times, I tried both in Starcraft and on desktop, the results are the same

so am i misunderstanding the concept and being paranoid or it really is mouse accel on my comp?

edit: now about the picture, on the composing page the both "| |"s are lined up stright but somehow it doesnt show that way on this page

edit2: problem just solved, the solution was to uninstall mouseware and use the windows XP mouse settings, I cant explain why, but when I reinstalled mouseware it came back on

Does a mouse driver like mouseware give any edge than default XP settings (assuming you dont get undesired accel)?

another thing I noticed while messing with mouse settings is the speed of double click, it applies to windows as well as SC, any thoughts (the slower the better)?

What size of crt do they (OSL MSL) use? 17 or 19? I'd assume they use 19 since its gaming but they looked 17 for me

Yeah I've got accelleration up to max on my mouse, and it behaves in quite the opposite fashion.

To the first question, Yes they add some edge to the movement and the accel of the mice, does not work good if you have a Mice like that. =P

The double Click, I haven't changed that in my entire life, and it is in the middle thing, if I have it changed is on my Copperhead Sinapser thing, the drivers and stuff, and I do not see any difference, since I just click like a mad fuc...on sc ;P.

The Screen they use I do not know exactly, but it must be around 17 =P I will ask some friends to see if they know.

Yes it's being known for a long time - logitech mouseware does give the mouse acceleration. I use my MX300 mouse with no driver installed - works perfect for me.
