(its also nearly impossible to have a hook that you develop in your last year, they like to see consistency) sorry ahh don't worry too much about your undergrad school anyhow, as long as you work hard you can basically make it from anywhere this also goes for all people that will still be applying to colleges in future years, but honestly high standardized test scores (and even GPA to a lesser extent) alone aren't going to get you accepted, its more of a check if you don't meet their imaginary minimum you'll have to be a lot stronger in your "hook" and whatever makes you special | ||

Got into: MIT Harvard Yale Princeton UPenn Cornell UC Berk UCLA Rejected: Stanford. My explanation is that I'm from the Bay Area and Stanford already takes too many people from the magnet schools in NorCal. To juniors who are interested in applying to the selective schools, consider what interests you and do something- create something, whether a project, and event, an organization this summer that highlights your initiative and talent. *Currently freshman at MIT. | ||
