Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon, died Saturday, weeks after heart surgery and days after his 82nd birthday.
Armstrong commanded the Apollo 11 spacecraft that landed on the moon on July 20, 1969, and he radioed back to Earth the historic news of "one giant leap for mankind." He spent nearly three hours walking on the moon with fellow astronaut Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin.

Just went to the NASA Space Museum in Houston a few weeks ago, was really interesting to me. RIP

That's a shame. Such a guy, he left behind quite a legacy.

EDIT: I am removing this red warning line. Failing warned me for all the wrong reasons. I remember watching a documentary where Armstrong specifically saying that he wishes to share a secret by the time he dies.

RIP my hero I've always wanted to walk on the moon ever since I saw the documentary For All Mankind. You are a huge inspiration to me and were the main influence on me when I chose Astronautical Engineering as my career path. You will be greatly missed.
