They're meme shoe status at this point, and I definitely wouldn't pay $400+ for them which is what they go for retail now. They're nice shoes with a somewhat distinct silhouette and were really early to the latest iteration of the MINIMAL WHITE SNEAKERS trend.

If you want (new) CPs wait for sale season and check the internet shops that sell them and you can try to snag them for ~250, assuming prices don't keep creeping up like they have been.

![]() I thinking about getting a pair of leather shoes to compliment my suits. Oxford = Close Laced Dress shoe. Most formal and only really to be worn with suits/tuxedo's. Honestly you can wear derby's with suits if you really want, but in really formal situations you might want to get a decent pair of close toe shoes. And regarding that specific shoe: For most dress shoes you get what you pay for in terms of quality leather. It's kind of hard to find a nice quality for less than $200 at least. Most of the mid tier shoe brands like Florsheim/Cole Haan/Steve Madden are just kind of meh leather quality. High end brands like Allen Edmunds/Alden etc are what you look for if you want a nice pair.
