nothing wrong with either of the stitches ofc but if you were buying it because you thought it was goodyear welted then I just wanted to save you the trouble. as for your original question, each shoe is for a different style. atm you're not picking between similar styles like plain oxford versus derbies or whatever, you're picking between chukkas and a captoe oxford, which are two very different shoes. so if you wanted super casual with jeans or something I'd go with the chukkas; if you wanted business casual then I'd go with the oxfords.

I didn't know what goodyear welting was until you mentioned it so yeah lol. Is there an aesthetic difference? I'm not expecting these shoes to last me 10 years or anything, but two years of occasional wear would be preferred. I'm not looking for super casual, but I'll typically wear with chinos, matching belt, and a lightweight colored button up of some kind. I'd rather be able to also dress it up to be able to wear on a date and sacrifice the ability to wear it with jeans and a tee than vice versa. I will probably eventually end up getting whatever one I don't pick the chukka or oxford, but my budget only allows for one right now.

+ Show Spoiler + "Please see attached pictures of the new modified 110 last on EE width that I have just finished. The rippling is new. I wanted to make the design more minimal so I decided to add it in order to remove the focus from the welt stitches. The stitches are still there but now more hidden. The toebox is more rounded and flat compare to the earlier cemented that was more pointed. The toebox has not been stretched out, but it may seem like that. The Side Zip and Jodhpur will use the same last so the shape will remain the same. Sizing remains the same as the previous last. I will take orders for the first batch this week. Delivery within 4-5 weeks. Please let me get back to you once you can submit your order. I really want to make sure everything goes well for your order. The leather (240 USD excl vat) is from the Annonay tannery in France while the suede (220 USD excl vat) is from Charles F Stead tannery in England. Leather insole as well outsole and heel are all full vegetable tanned leather from Italy." ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() What do y'all think?

Not that I identify with or know much about streetwear, and aside from w/e asap rocky says, I actually think HBA is pretty sick when done right, certainly much better than fear of god/off-white/public school/second layer, or at least I can actually see HBA has its own aesthetic and is interesting instead of just ripping people. Oh and also Rocky designed some ugly ass sneakers with Jeremy Scott but then says he doesn't wanna be a designer or something.

I don't really follow how rappers dress but he seems to have a better stylist than most. I just don't like how someone who's as image and hype conscious as an internet era rapper can be viewed as an arbiter of taste or fashion icon when it's clear he has ulterior motives, such as economic benefit, rap politics, etc, whenever he reps or disses a label. Funny that he hates on off-white and been-trill, but like, are they that different from how he usually dresses? Not that I identify with or know much about streetwear, and aside from w/e asap rocky says, I actually think HBA is pretty sick when done right, certainly much better than fear of god/off-white/public school/second layer, or at least I can actually see HBA has its own aesthetic and is interesting instead of just ripping people. Oh and also Rocky designed some ugly ass sneakers with Jeremy Scott but then says he doesn't wanna be a designer or something. don't think rocky has a stylist in the most conventional sense he just has some guy gather up some runway looks and wears whatever he wants and I wouldn't say he's a fashion icon or whatever, he just spits whatever he wants to and the shit he says gathers traction because he has the influence and reach as a pop star. the focus on his personality as a fashion-oriented individual is a consequence of his popularity in music and not the cause. every music artist that wants to say something about whatever topic, regardless whether it's politics or socioeconomic views, is simply using his/her platform of musical notoriety as a springboard for their opinions to be heard. it's like calling Bruce Springstein a politician because he had so much to say about socio-political atmosphere in his albums. what I'm trying to say is that simply because an artist has an inclination towards something doesn't make them an icon. kanye designing some derivative garbage is perhaps the best recent example of this principle. it's the fame that makes them an icon and not the other way around. i despise streetwear styles stemming from brands like offwhite supreme obey pink dolphin. it's literally the same business model as a diffusion line at the same markup without the innovation of an actual designer of an original in the background. and when these brands try to 'innovate', the result is oftentimes garish and gimmicky, compromised from a variety of other designs they attempted to combine.
