The asking price is so low already that I feel like giving an additional discount is nonsensical considering there really was no damage to the leather.

Pulselol Canada1628 Posts October 13 2014 07:52 GMT #5506 if somebody stepped in dog shit in a pair of guidis but cleaned off the bottom without any residue and smell and sold them i don't think there would be an issue it's the same thing for me here, i guess. i understand it's an ethics issue but think of all the clothes that are sold second hand that you may have bought. i guess for me a little puke that was cleaned off and doesn't show on the leather/doesn't smell doesn't affect me at all if i didn't know, and even if i did know i'd still be pretty okay with it as long as you cleaned it off properly. shit happens with secondhand clothing.

It's possible that the buyer has some feelings regarding whatever it is that you didn't divulge (say, phobia to puke or intense hatred of dog shit) and it could make a difference in their buying decision. Not mentioning something as significant as puking on it just before sending it (regardless of damage) is deceitful.

But if I took it to the dry cleaners, which I might do, then say like, freshly cleaned by professionals, do I still have to mention it was puked on? I'm strongly considering keeping it now since I feel like I could sell for the same amount even with like 3-4 months of wear. The offers I got were around $600 for a pretty much brand new intarsia that I only wore like 3 times for 2-3 hours at a time going out.

If it's been cleaned off and there is no residue then the condition is exactly the same as before. Pulse is right - if they don't know they won't complain. I guess mentioning it is the right thing to do from an ethical perspective but you will just be automatically losing ~10% of value over nothing. The price of having integrity..

I don't wanna get rid of the new leather smell. There are no stains or anything but the parts where I wiped with disinfectant wipes and warm water seems to be slightly tougher than the rest, only noticeable to me though.

andyrau 13015 Posts October 14 2014 00:02 GMT #5513 google leather cleaning and your area code/city usually the answer is no and I wouldn't trust a dry cleaner that offers you leather cleaning service without favorable third party reviews you could also call and directly ask how their leather cleaning process is i know there's a service where you can mail in your leather and have it cleaned and they mail it back to you, but that's time consuming and expensive.

Because I see it nowhere else, or atleast not close to the same frequency as in male fashion discussions. I suppose all subgenres has their jargon? Do you use "cop" outside of this post just as frequently?
