A lot of sales happening, I regret having spent so much money on random shit that I thought looked good. Wish someone would've told me to save my money and buy 1-2 good pieces instead of random mediocre ones. Oh and I'm selling these limited edition blue perforated lows in 44: http://www.chatsubo.com/index.php?sec=prod&prod=390&title=achilles-perforated-blueIf you any of you want it I'll give a good deal, otherwise I'm putting them up on ebay free for all. oh what i didn't even know people used lookbook outside of tumblr kids

me too. but this year i'm gonna stick to a few really good buys. first one is luggage.
for fits mostly. sz seems to be full of ninjas, sufu just has denim stuff and lot of their stuff besides denim is pretty plain/bad imo. SF seems to have the most balanced fits. I've learned to basically get cleaner colors and silhouettes, not necessarily slim or boxy but just something consistent in tone and silhouette from head to toe. Thinking of either getting a minimalist (i hate that word) leather jacket with no front pockets or messy zippers unlike the rider ones or just a bomber. Will try to be patient and look for used since it's summer anyway.
Btw where else sells long t shirts like void that's not $300? The AA ones are okay but looking for something with more detail.

I'm also going to try out some dutch brand I heard about. they have various lengths and their fits seem to match my build from the pictures I've seen. http://www.girav.com/?___store=girav_en&___from_store=default if you're interested I'll let you know in a month how they fit and how they hold up with regular washing

That's the problem with hemming, always ruins the taper So hard to find nice jeans that come in 29short. I only have one pair in that size, a pair of Nudies. Wish more companies readily offered short lengths x(

john elliot co for them zippers. probs better than allsaints
denim, i actually wear boots with them (brown ones), etc. dunno they feel so versatile.
|
oh yeah i know that denim works fine, it's just weird for that to be the only option, i try to avoid gray/blue style
it's really hard to go try out hoodie/pullups here in sf, it's kinda too hot for me to accurately gauge how the sweater fits when it makes me start sweating almost immediately :3
i tried out a men's oxford shirt and then accidentally grabbed the woman's version, awkward time trying to exchange it and explaining what happened XD the attendant was just like, yeah lots of guys wear women's clothes.......
|
i once went looking for women's jeans. the SA kept talking about how its happened before and reassuring me not to feel bad
|
haha :3 i have a cold too so my voice was not in the mood for explaining my failure to look at the receipt/tag
i find that women's clothes have a lot better colours (more vibrant, more variety, better shades) and graphic designs on their clothes than guys, but since i'm relatively fit and fat and i dont have boobs they all fit horribly. also women tend to have really skinny arms and legs, so they might fit size wise but my arm will never fit in them :3
i really like a couple of my women's tees ( T_T ) but the way the cut on the sleeve is angled differently from guys makes it weird.
|
yeah boobs lol. i like how women have more options (pretty much dresses) but i guess if i wanted something like that i can always wear yohji and be all flowy
|
The variety in pant and blazer styles rivals what women have but I think most of the options are not readily available. 90% of all suits/blazers are notch lapel with patch pockets. Anything outside of that will require some pretty serious searching or big $. The difference between patch/flap pockets and slit pockets is huge. Single/Double/No vents make a big difference as well. The only real difference I think is in skirts but they don't really work for the male shape anyway.
Dealing with hips/boobs is a big part of women's fashion but guys don't have the right parts for it to work anyway.

How hard is it to maintain white shoes? Is it the kind of shoe you buy to wear like once a week tops?

Depends how you feel about patina I guess
Also what kind of "white shoes"? My saddle shoes do get scuffs and dirt on it but a slightly damp cloth and an eraser clean up almost everything
edit: anyone with experience with Billykirk bags? I really want one
