Also, a lot of my shirts are getting that brownish sort of coloring around the collar. Is that from wearing a shirt too much without washing it? Should you wash a shirt after every use?

Dry cleaning is for garments (wools and knots in general) that are affected by water and washing machines (because of the intensity and rouughness of the cycle in different ways that are deteimental to the shape/structure/material. dry cleaning shirts is usually unnecessary, but knits and suits should be (unless you pefer to hand wash knits) Those are sweat stains. Baking soda and toothbrush supposedly works. Caused by sweat and chemicals. I usually wash every 2 wears for button ups. Smell tear lol

I've heard that washing will fade the clothes over time, so I've been getting my best clothes dry cleaned lately, but I wonder if it isn't necessary, or what exactly ARE the benefits of dry cleaning? Also, a lot of my shirts are getting that brownish sort of coloring around the collar. Is that from wearing a shirt too much without washing it? Should you wash a shirt after every use? use vanish or similar on the collar, works 100% of the time personally i only dry-clean things that are dry-clean-only, and just wash the rest and line dry (never tumble dry). wash shirts every two wears, three at the most if you're not sweating at all. unrelated: my package is still in the customs after 13 days. will be ringing them tomorrow but i'm expecting a £60+ customs bill. at least ssense didn't use dhl/fedex so i shouldn't get DPed by them as well as HMRC

I'm returning those jeans to see if I can exchange. Does anyone have experience with iron heart, 3ixteen, rogue territory, momo, sugarcane, or somet?

If not where should I look for leather jackets around the same price range? yeah, you can order them from toj (expect a year long wait, i'm at 44 weeks lmao). you can also try grailed/sf/sufu for the resell market. in other news, i'm looking for chelsea boots similar to SLP (the $1000 retail would bite my ass too hard) so i'm looking for alternatives.

Is it just easier on the fabric? Here in SK I've been forced to line dry my clothes for the past two years, and it's by far been one of the most annoying things to me, since I have to iron the clothes then, and ironing them just NEVER seems to get them as smooth as a simple drier used to.

The benefit of line drying is twofold: 1) I usually get a lot less creases when I line dry my shirts opposed to the tumble dryer. This also depends btw how you hang them. I always use a coat hanger to put my shirts on and hang it on an actual line I put up between two bookcases with enough space between the shirts (the line gets taken down when the shirts are dry, so you don't think I sacrificed a quarter of my room just to dry my shirts properly ![]() ![]() 2) Putting your shirts in a tumble dryer causes them to undergo a lot more wear. Because of the workings/movements of the tumble dryer your shirts will loose tiny bits of fabric (as shown by every time you have to clean the dust filter in the tumble dryer) and this really hurts the longevity of your shirts. This especially shows itself on your cuffs and collar giving your shirt a terrible look. Line drying really extends the longevity of your shirts. If you spend a lot of money for a quality shirt you want it to stay nice for as long as possible so treat it with love/care/respect and it will proof it's quality for years and years to come.
