I don't know what kind of wardrobe you have, and even though I personally think the Icarus' look really awesome you need to have a certain style (I would say streetwear/baggy) for it to work out and look good. My final note would be that if you can't get them on sale or at a reasonable price used a bit (they're actually much more nice when they have been used - especially the white ones, they look really awesome after some use), you might want to look out for something cheaper and more wearable as there are a lot of those out there too.

I can halfheartedly reccoment j.crew chinos, they fit pretty well except a bit wide in the thighs. I haven't tried any from the gap as Juliette suggests but I'd recommen trying a few different brands on if you've never bought chinos before. I've also heard good things about Experess's photographer chino pants, but I have yet to see them in person. Which j.crew pants/chinos do you like best? I was thinking about checking out some pants from there for the upcoming fall. I have pretty big thighs so I was excited about your post. :D thanks. I also wear sperrys with certain outfits as well, they go with a decent amount of different outfits.

Funny how these are identical, and i mean almost copies of my 7hole carpe diems. looks like its basicly the same leather aswell, the only difference are those two nails on the heels. but the soles look the same. Its a great boot design but very impractical. Its a huge pain to take such high boots on/off, and here in sweden we dont wear shoes indoors :/ makes it rather impractical to have to spend 5 minutes getting your shoes on or off everytime you enter/exit a flat.

Pretty sure I have the broken in chino urban slim fit, but I can't be 100% sure; I bought it in the store 1-2 months ago and I can't find any tag indicating the type on it. 30/30 is the size I'm wearing if that is relevant to you.

The toe shape is extremely similar but the heel is completely different. It's also slimmer from the top down compared to cdiems, and I believe the shaft is quite a bit slimmer as well. It's not surprising that it draws inspirations from carpe because yoko ito was the patternmaker for maurizio, but I have to say the design is distinctively IS even though it's a derivative of a classic boot shape that carpe popularized. I also agree that zip & laceup combinations are the best iterations of boots but it's hard to find a designer willing to sacrifice the side profile of a boot simply to make it more convenient for people to take off.

First I was a bit afraid they were hard to incorporate into my BBS wardrobe but damn man these are the most amazing pair I have ever owned or even tried on. They're so comfortable and is everything in a boot that I want and they fit so well into my wardrobe. Also so many people have commented on them, best buy in a long time so yea you're right, Anns are very nice!

I own a pair of Vitellos aswell and they are my go to lace boots. they have actually grown into somewhat of a cornerstone of my wardrobe, whenever i am shopping for pants i always bring them with me to see how they work togheter. They need a heel-job for the winter though. speaking of pants, i am looking for a pair of fairly narrow but straight leg dress pants/trousers in a fitting material for winter. that looks good tucked into a pair of boots. BBS/MA+ would be ideal but i cant find a webshop that carries these brands within the EU and im not going to travel to berlin just to go to darklands. any help would be appreciated.

As for chinos: Bonobos.com Great fit. Good price. Best customer service. Tons of colors if you want a diversion from the sea of business khakiusual. Regular fit of you have a big butt or monster thighs, slim fit otherwise. I have a pair in light blue and love wearing them.

I own these: ![]() the zippers are kinda muted and fairly narrow, not like ricks giant YKK zippers he puts on his boots. The problem with ordering from outside EU isnt shipping costs, its that you have to pay 25% extra in customs :/ but thanks for vertice

sc2holar: yes that is the exact same pair I have that I bought off of re.porter. Should I, before snow and winter approaches give them a heel job already even though I just bought them? I haven't been much into boots before so I'm not sure how that whole "heel world" works. Andyrau gives the links I would have given you too. I have yet to visit Darklands myself but my impression is that the store is absolutely amazing and I would love to go and experience it one day myself. Went to Atelier and RO flagship store last year when I visited NYC and that was incredible to see so many lovely brands hanging side by side (damn did I shop myself poor on that trip ^^).
