Makes you really hate the Catholic church, its stance on contraception, and its heavy influence in the Philippines. I'm not saying he wouldn't have had 13 kids anyways (using contraception is something only a responsible person would do, which he doesn't seem to be). I'm usually against barbaric punishments, but this person is a great candidate for sterilization. Yes, I know that education, especially of a country's women, is the largest deterrent towards gigantic families, but a more accepting attitude towards contraception never hurts. as far as I know Catholic church over there has allowed for condoms and contraceptives. I know they have banned the morning after pill though.

Nope, they are not allowed by the Catholic Church but condoms are readily available at any convenience store. It's still pretty Catholicy here though. No abortion, no Divorces.

I wonder if the Philippine fire prevention system feels the same way about pets/objects of wealth any different due to it not being a 1st world country. Also, On December 31 2011 14:55 Frumpysnoo wrote: He probably just chickened out. This is absolute gold.

The official stance of the Catholic Church worldwide is that no unnatural contraception may be used. Only natural family planning.

Is that really what their language sounds like written in english, it wasn't translated anywhere else into english itself? Ouch... Well ABS-CBN is pretty established here in the Philippines, not sure why it wasn't translated though. I can take a go at it, I'm not the best though... "Bitbit bitbit niya ‘yung mga manok tapos sinasabi nila sa kanya, ‘’Yung anak mo nandoon,’ pero wala lang siyang pakialam" He was holding the chickens and after they told him "your son is over there", but he didn't care. Take it with a grain of salt, I'm sure someone else can translate it better... Edit: Forgot this part, but taken from the context of the article it should already have been obvious... "Sila ang nagaalaga diyan sa taas bakit ako ang aakusahan nila? They were in charge up stairs, why am I the one being accused?

Hope he gets ostracized by their community. He still saved lives. He still saved animals regardless. ( Animalia / Gallus gallus ) instead of ( Animalia / Homo sapien ) both of Animalia. Maybe he viewed the Gallus gallus group higher for some reason?
